I had saline implants placed over the muscle 20+ years ago, about 350cc. About 2 months ago, I felt my breasts and realized they had deflated..BOTH! It was very upsetting because my appearance is very important to me and I couldn't even wear a bra. I should add that I look and act much younger than my age and I still want breasts! A little embarrassed about my age, I knew I had to have them them replaced. I had heard that Dr. Philip Grubb was the man to see for BA and made an appo intent for a consultation.

Shopping queen..love that. We'll I had my surgery this morning. Got there at 6:45, was greeted by the nursing staff and settled in. Dr. Grubbs came in and marked me, discussed briefly what we were gonna do. Dr. Templeton, anesthesiologist, came in and inserted my IV and we talked for a long time, telling me exactly what to expect. She was absolutely wonderful! Soon after, I was walked into the OR where I was made comfy on the gurney, blood pressure cuff placed, scrubbed and prepped for surgery. The nursing staff was wonderful. Dr. Grubbs came in a d surgery began. The anesthesiologist kept me comfortable..I was asleep when I needed to be and awake sometimes too. I never felt any pain. It was actually a pleasant experience. The e tire peocedure took an hour and a halh. I had Mentor Memory Gel smooth round high profile, 400cc placed.

Age is only a number...attitude is everything! I've had implants for years, replaced only for age 4 times...plan on dying with this set! lol What I am planing now is an abdominoplasty as soon as I lose at least 30 more lbs or preferably 40! Last baby 10 1/2 lbs(Im 5'4") and huge skin overhang when thin but now it's combined with fat...starting to develop skin irritation under the flap. 2 PS said they would remove it now, with minimal muscle tightening with a low incision but beyond hip to hip to get all the loose skin. All said I would be much happier with end result by loosing the weight as the type of fat I have is mainly on the inside(around intestines/organs)and not just under the skin. So that is the plan...I will be 76 when I do this...My primary care said I'm great for any surgery I want to do, but I said,,this will be it..don't like by flappy arms, but long sleeves etc are just fine at this point! lol

Good for you for doing what you want! I have a feeling I'll be in yer shoes when I get older cuz I can't imagine myself without boobs. I have 1 implant removed right now due to infection and that's what made me realize that I'll always have implants. Thank goodness this is a temporary thing for me but I can't wait to get my boobs back! I bet yer gonna be so ecstatic with yer new ones :) I can't wait to see them. I wish you an easy recovery and minimal pain. XX

Yesterday was not good..I felt very tired and irritable and the boobs weren't comfortable; actually the itching was the worst..I wonder if anyone else has experienced that. There is a LOT of bruising. Cant wait to jump in the shower! I will try to post pictures later today.

I had a revision on the 21st. Same took a vicoden last night but not today very sore but bare able. The worst is going from laying down to getting up. Check the itching I was very allergic to mastisol the glue they use for the steri strips, therefore they didn't use it this time. Congrats!!
