WORTH IT
This was my moment, thanks to Dr. Jason Emer!!!
I recently moved to a new city and decided to take advantage of a promotion at a local drugstore called "senior Tuesday," offering a 25% discount on purchases that day. I stocked up on paper goods, soap, etc. and took my purchases to a pretty girl at the cash register. At checkout, I noticed that my senior citizen discount hadn't been applied. I asked her to re-do the total with my discount. She refused.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you have to be over 55," she replied.
The manager was called.
"I want my senior discount!" I explained.
I was asked to show my driver's license. I handed it over. After they studied it, they handed it back.
"You're 62?? I don't believe it," the clerk said to me. "What's your secret?"
"How old did you think I was?" I asked.
"About 45!"
THAT was my moment.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Emer!!! He is the master at facial rejuvenation!
I went to Dr. Emer to regain some of the youth and beauty I had lost over the years. He recommended using the fillers Voluma and Radiesse to restore some of the fullness in my face that I had lost through age, and to smooth out some of the fine lines and wrinkles. He used injections of Botox to get rid of the wrinkles in between my eyebrows and next to my eyes, and the "marionette" lines next to my mouth and chin. He also did a "vampire facial" (PRP and microneedling) to stimulate collagen production and restore a more youthful look to my skin.
Dr. Emer's reputation as a master at facial rejuvenation is well deserved! The combination of procedures not only made me look a full decade or two younger but restored my self confidence. I don't mind producing my driver's license ANYTIME someone wants to know if I'm old enough for a senior discount. That was the best compliment ever!!!!

haha I use my mom's senior discount almost everywhere. Never ever been questioned about my age. Actually it seems unlikely to be questioned about this, since my friends -- some in their 30s and no way do they look over 40 even -- use their parents senior discounts too. What place even does this? Is this real as it sounds made up, sorry. If it is real, no prob -- just what place has time to call the manager unless it's about a kid trying to get alcohol with a fake ID?

Walgreens in Reno, Nevada. The manager was there and was called over. They won't give you the discount on Senior Tuesday unless you're over 55. I had to show my driver's license to prove it. This really happened!

I used to live in Henderson. This is ridiculous and worthy of complaint -- it's one thing for carding for alcohol, but for senior discounts? And I KNOW I don't look 55 and I use mine all the time. Actually they call me by my mom's name at times. I just smile and nod.

If I do look 55 then I should just give up....the end.

What a great review, thank you for sharing!! Will you share some before/after pics too? We want to see the face that was refused the senior discount! :)

Did you have any swelling or bruising? Where did you have the Voluma injected?

Voluma was injected on the cheeks, under the eyes, and around the mouth. These were all areas where I had lost some volume and acquired a somewhat sunken look. Dr. Emer often likes to combine more than one procedure for the best results, which is why he added injections of Radiesse, Botox, and the Vampire Facial. There was some swelling and bruising for a few days after the procedures, but it was minimal. I have an after picture which I will post as soon as I figure out how to do it. (I'll ask my son, the tech wizard, how to do it! :)

i wish i had a son -- for the tech wizard part -- haha. First of all, I had no idea voluma could be done around mouth and undereyes as I have been told several times that these areas are VERY problematic -- interesting! Are you sure it was voluma at those points and not other stuff? I wish I could watch them do this and figure it out. It does seem ideal to pick and choose appropriate filler for various areas.

Thank you! It's pretty easy to add a photo - just click on the "write a review" link, select the procedure, scroll down and you'll see the drag and drop photo box and the "select a photo" option. Let me know if you need any help!

Some was Voluma and some was Radiesse. Dr. Emer did determine which filler was appropriate for the various areas, in order to get the best result. I posted a profile picture, which was taken just a few days after the procedures.

Thank you for that! It is helpful to post a before photo as well to understand how well the product works.
