Hi, I posted a message to you in your other review, but then I saw that you have one here. Just curious is this your default review or should we be following the other one from this point on? As I mentioned to you in your other review you look fantastic and I've enjoyed following your story. :-)

Hello, sorry I haven't been on in a while. The accounts are linked and I usually update both profiles together. I've been on here less and less, but still try to check in. Thank you for your kind words :)

Hey no problem. I appreciate your response. And I hope you will continue to do periodic updates. I also have small implants like you and I feel we are very similar in size as well as skin tone. I'd be curious to know how your scars continue to heal…. And if they continue to fade. Talk later. :-)

February 27, 2017
They are fading, however taking longer in some areas, for example the inverted T area. It's a small triangle under each breast. Still very red/purple. I'm thinking of laser treatments to help fade them. I'm calling my PS to ask his thoughts as well as other concerns. I just saw your pics! A great size change for you! Did you like Dr. Vath? I've read wonderful things about him on here.
February 27, 2017
Hi, thank you for your comments. Downsizing was one of the best decisions I've made. And yes I absolutely love Dr Vath! I'm half Asian and have a potential for hypertrophic scars. In fact my very first augmentation (different PS) my scars were so bad they had to be surgically revised. Because of this I was pretty terrified about doing a breast lift surgery until I heard about Dr. Vath and saw his incision work. This time around my scars have stayed completely flat.
At six months PO some are a bit discolored and stretched; and I have a little ways to go to see the final result. if I'm not satisfied with the final result Dr. vath told me they would be very easy to revise and he would not charge me (not even for anesthetia fees).
I hope the laser treatment works for you. I'd be curious to know how that goes. Talk later. :-)

We discussed scar revision as well, but the chances of it happening again are more likely than not. I had tissue breakdown with both surgeries, the second worst than the first.
I've just noticed that the scar seems to be more visible below, almost migrating up. I didn't before as it was under my breast fold.
I'm hoping laser helps I just can't phathom another surgery. I'm Filipino mix and tend to hyperpigment during healing. It's not pretty lol

If you don't mind my two cents on the subject: one thing to keep in mind is that at this stage a scar revision surgery by itself would be a much simpler surgery (with much less trauma) than your prior surgeries.
Not to mention your blood source is not being compromise the way it was before (with the implant exchange and breast left) so there's much less of a chance of the skin breaking down. The implants dropping and spreading in your prior surgeries also had an effect on how your scars developed.
So with everything all healed and in place... a simple excision of an eighth to a quarter inch of scar tissue will be much less traumatic and would probably produce a nicer scar then what you have now, imho. You have to look at all the factors that were involved with your prior surgeries that won't be present with a simple scar revision. :-)

Good to know! Something I will definitely discuss with my PS! Do you know if I have to go under for scar revision? Or something I can do awake with local?
February 28, 2017
I would think it would all depend on the amount of scars and what your PS felt comfortable doing. I was told that my PS frequently does scar revisions using local anesthesia with the patient awake. I had a scar revision done years ago (a different PS) and I remember being put to sleep but it was not a real heavy duty anesthesia. I had hypertrophic scars remove from both imframmary incisions. The result was very good. They ended up being thin white lines barely visible.

A very long overdue update!!
Hello Ladies!! I can't believe I'm 15 months post revision surgery. I'm still very pleased with my size and how natural they look and feel. In my previous posts I mentioned hyperpigment from a allergy to medical tape/ glue and scar tissue in the inverted T (tissue breakdown) on my left breast and right breast. The hyperpigment has healed up nicely. I still have a few small areas present but it's very light. My PS advised I leave watch for at least 2 years post to address any areas that might still be present. The scar tissue has improved drastically. (Treated with steroid shots) My PS forewarned me that the skin could turn white, which did happen. I tossed around the idea of scar revision to the area of breakdown however the chances of it happening again is very likely. It doesn't bother me enough to take the risk. I'm feeling confident that the redness will continue to fade over time.
I hope you all are enjoying your results as much as I am!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! This site has helped me so much! I have scheduled a breast augmentation and mini tummy tuck for the end of February. I'm getting excited but also very nervous and keep second guessing everything. I was wondering if you were still happy with your decision to do the mini tummy tuck? I'm having second thoughts about the mini as my stomach looks pretty good for having three kids but I do have a little loose "granny" skin whenever I bend over.

Hello!
I'm quite happy. Really do your research regarding a mini vs TT. My PS did muscle repair above my BB. This isnt common with a mini. Also, converting from a mini to a full couldn't be more complicated, if your BB is "floated". I wouldn't say my skin is SUPER tight like a full TT. (When I bend over)
All three PS that I consulted with said they wouldn't do a full TT on me, it would be overkill. The downtime was more than a c-section but I also combined my surgeries!
again, yes overall I'm happy with my results!

I remember following your story so long ago. It's nice to see how well you're doing! I remember thinking how nice your size was after the revision. Im 9 days post op and got 150cc's. I'm super happy so far! Can't wait till all the swelling goes down.

Quick update!
Wow, I haven't been on here in a while! Hope all is well with you all! I'm 1yr 3m post mini TT (muscle repair) and 10m post revision (downsize). I couldn't be happier. In my previous post, I had mentioned some scar tissue beneath my left breast where I had the tissue breakdown. Since then I have have 2 injections to the area to help soften and was also instructed to massage the area. The injections have helped a lot, however there is still a stiff area. We are playing conservative as the injections can also cause the skin to thin. Scar revision is an option, but I'm leaning towards no. The possibility of tissue breakdown in the same area is likely to happen again, so why Indure more procedures? Iike I said I love my boobs :)
My hyperpigment is pretty much gone, without any treatment. Yay! My scar is at the red stage. Finding they are still sensitive to underwire. I'm meticulous about using my Biocorneum and reapplying sunblock if I'm in a swim suit, also staying under a umbrella for the most part. Scars are still in the healing stage, so I'm not too concerned. I haven't noticed any significant changes in size (dropping ect) I still sleep in my cozy bras and rarely go without a bra. I will take some braless pics soon, for now here are some pics in swimsuits/clothes :)
My bra size 32D to 32DD depending on bra company. Swim tops range from a size small to a medium, depending on brand and style. Tops are size XS/S depending on brand and style. I love how natural they look, however they sure can pop out when I want them too lol

Hi, thanks for sharing your journey! Also, sorry to hear about your scarring. Fortunately it seems that the hypertrophic scarring is in a very small area... hidden under the fold. Am I correct? Even with the scars you look great!
It's been interesting reading your journal because we have a similar stories. I'm scheduled for surgery this week to downsize my 400cc implants and also get a lift. I'm curious to know what size you finally ended up with. I'm thinking of downsizing to somewhere between 215 and 235Cc. Haven't quite decided yet. I look forward to hearing more about your journey.

Hello! I downsized to 197cc & 213cc. Made such a difference for me. I think you'll be very happy. I feel like I'm 20 all over again ;)

Thanks! Really appreciate your info. Did you you have to have your implant pockets tightened on the sides for your downsize? And if so.. did you feel any discomfort with tightening sutures? Thanks again.

August 22, 2016
He replaced with a smaller implant and tightened the lift. He didn't need to reduce the pocket as my surgeries were within 6m, which was a concern of mine. He explained after surgery that I didn't need it and he expects a beautiful results. I haven't noticed any unfavorable changes. When I was first out of surgery, my breasts appeared more cone like. They have settled beautifully.
My second procedure was far less painful. Walk in the park as par as pain goes. My biggest discomfort was due to the glue allergy and tissue breakdown. I think I'll end up doing some type of laser for the hypertrophic scar if things do not lighten up over the next 6 months. He seems to think thinks will calm down without any laser closer to my 2 year post Mark. Until then I continue to apply Biocorneum silicone cream.
