Picture college of side by side comparisons

Just so you can see the small changes over the last 5 months.

5 Months after getting lip implants out and lip deformity

So I decided to do an update...it's been I guess about 5 months since I had them removed. My upper lip as you can see in the pictures is not as bad as it was in my last set of photos but def not back to pre implants. I have been getting steroid injections in my upper lip to soften up the scar tissue that had built up, and I have been doing lip stretches where I literally pull my lip and stretch it out while pressing down on the scar tissue to soften it up. It def has worked, as my lip is not nearly as constricted as it was prior, but as you can see there is some deformity going on. My side that is fuller seems to be hanging down further than it used to and the other side feels deflated...like it has less tissue in it than it did pre implants. My lower lip even looks a little deformed compared to pre implants. Again, I don't know if this is a time thing where I need to be patient and just wait it out, or if this is pretty much it and what I am left with. I will def be getting filler here in the near future to try to even out the lips. When I do I will post pictures and give you updates on whether or not it worked. I have left my review as "unsure" because though I am left with looking sort of crazy, I am still glad that I tried them out...though I am def glad they are out now. It was just too stressing constantly trying to add filler to fix the deformity the implants were causing while in my lips. I think they should revamp the lip implants and make different shapes because I do not believe that one shape is good for everyone. Alrighty...well I hope my journey is helpful to you all :) Until next time...

Having deformity issues with smile after Lip Implant Removal

So apparently bacteria can grow on the lip implant if a doctor injecting filler injects too deep into the lip. My last trip to getting lip filler back in November I ended up getting a bacterial infection which made my upper lip swell up and then a little hole cracked open and all this fluid came out. Which even now, months later I still have a little bit that comes out. After being on antibiotics and trying to resolve the infection I went to the doctor who did the surgery and she agreed the implants needed to come out due to the bacterial infection not going away. So it's been almost 1 month now and my upper lip is crazy looking. It started to look like this while I had the lip implants in but I kept adding filler to try to make my lip look more even. Now that the lip implant is out I can feel the capsule on the right side is firmer than on the left side. When I smile my right side curls up unnaturally above my gum line. I have added the two photos so you can see what I am talking about. Along with that issue, the other side is sagging lower, and the length of my smile is still constricted due to the capsule still being there. I am hoping that the capsule softens up and my lip & smile looks more normal within time. I have sent pics to my doctor and I am waiting on a reply to see what she suggests. I have noticed a lot of doctors tell patients to wait for healing time after people's post ops...but since I noticed this issue while I had the implants I am curious if the capsule has already turned to scar tissue and this is what I will be left with. Funny...now that I'm looking at my old smile I am realizing I probably should not have gotten the lip implants and just stuck with filler to add the volume I was looking for. I will add another post with new pic maybe in a month or 2 to show you guys if there has been any changes.

I like her so much as my doctor that I continue to see her for filler and Botox. She is very nice, and considerate of her patients feelings. She also takes her time stopping in between each fill to make sure she perfects the desired result. Her staff is equally nice and they are all very friendly and outgoing.
