Breast Augmentation and Revision (Wanted to Go Bigger!) - Bethesda, MD

ORIGINAL POST

I am writing this review to help anyone who is...

WORTH IT$5,950

I am writing this review to help anyone who is looking for an excellent plastic surgeon. I had my initial BA (Mentor 350cc HP silicone implants) through the areola done on 9/14/2012. I started to notice an indentation in my cleavage closest to my left breast. I went back to my original PS in December 2014 to show him and to ask him why I have this indent. Could it be the beginnings of a capsular contraction? I was told, I did not have it ( I was relieved) and that nothing was wrong and to live with the indent. :-( Okay well...that reply by the original PS was unsatisfactory! My husband and I began to look for a new plastic surgeon in January. After an extensive search we found Dr. Franklin Richards. I made an appointment with Dr. Richards for a complimentary BA consultation (hubby came with me) in his new Bethesda office. Dr. Richards explained to me what my issue was (over-release of my left pectoral muscle) and that he could fix me cosmetically. I was so relieved!!! I came to the consultation with two objectives the first one was to fix my cleavage issue and the second was to get a mini-lift face lift. I just turned 50 and wanted a slight improvement to look a little younger. Dr. Richards was very honest with me and said that I did not need a mini-lift. It would be a waste of my money. Dr. Richards offered two suggestions that I could benefit from the first was a bi-lateral lower eye lid lift (Blepharoplasty) or a laser treatment which would tighten up the face and/or dermal fillers. I was happy I had many options to choose from( invasive and non-invasive treatments) for a more youthful look. I chose a bi-lateral Blepharoplasty because I wanted a shorter healing time 2 months and results that would last years longer. As for my second objective the BA revision, I needed to go bigger which would correct the problem of the indent at my cleavage. I was already interested in getting larger breast so it was a win-win situation for me and hubby. I had Mentor 600cc HP silicone implants inserted under the mammary folds. I couldn't go through the areola since the implants were too large for my small sized areola. I am 5'5" tall and 112 pounds. As I am writing this review, I am now 3 mos. post-op and feeling great. My breast look fantastic and realistic even with my (size 2) small frame. I can carry these 600 cc implants well and now have a beautiful hour-glass shape. My eyes healed beautifully!! I now look like I'm in my mid to younger 40's. I can't express enough how happy I am with the end results. Dr. Franklin Richards is a very talented surgeon and has a heart of gold. Dr. Richards's staff are ALL so wonderful. I am so grateful to my husband because he found him on Angie's List. Dr. Franklin Richards will be my PS for life. I hope my review has helped you in someway get closer to choosing the right PS and that man is Dr. Franklin Richards. Just call his office and set up an appointment. All my best, Karen C.
P.S. I only included the pricing on the BA not my lower eye lids.

You look amazing!
Wow! Thank you so much... all my best.
I am taking your pic to my ps and telling him I want to look like this!
I'm so glad that I came across your review. I am a bit taller than you at 5'7 but I was scared of going to big so I got 325/350cc HP's and I want bigger! It's nice to see what 600cc can look like on a tiny frame. My original PS said my max was 460cc but I'm scared of going too small again. I want that hour glass figure and I think I need bigger implants to get it. Love your profile pic!!!
Thank you Fitnessgal23!! I am including my measurements and hope it gives you a little more clarification. Bra size: I still fit in my 32DD bras but I haven't been measured since I had the 600cc put in.. the bra cups are a little small just need about 1/2-1 inch more of fabric. Waist: 25" Hips: 35-36" Good Luck to you.
I feel the same way you do, I got 457cc imp and it wasn't what I thought it would be, I've been secretly dissapointed ever since. I'm 5'8 143lbs so I know I can handle 600 ccs if not more!
here is a thought for you....every 50cc = 1/8 inch. So you can take a tape measure and see the projection all around with your current breast.
You look wonderful overall, not only your breasts, congrats!! I wanted to thank you very much for your review. I am also in need of a revision and have a similar case as you had. After reading your review I immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Richards. I met him yesterday and have no words to express how warm, kind, and helpful he has been. He is also recommending me 600cc - I've seen a 3D simulation of the end results and it looks unbelievably beautiful. I will soon set un an appointment for my surgery. Thank you for inspiring me to go ahead with that :)
