I'm not a spring chicken by any means, but I grew...
I looked and looked for a good surgeon--thought I had found one, but a little research proved otherwise. Then, I found Dr. Ridgway. Impressed with his credentials and reviews, I made the appointment, and then, when I met with him, was impressed with his gracious manner, his warmth, and his incredible intelligence. I learned that, in addition to all his medical expertise, he also has credentials as an artist. I really relaxed when I found out about his artistic eye.
I underwent the neck surgery, as well as what is known as the "liquid facelift" or fat transfer to my cheeks and under my eyes. I wasn't so sure about that part of it, but now, about five weeks out from surgery, I'm seeing positive results. My daughter and husband tell me that I look pretty much the same, but refreshed, and without that pesky wattle. I'm so glad I had this surgery, and that I was lucky enough to find a star like Dr. Ridgway. I can now continue on with my life and meet with clients and friends and family without feeling self-conscious. Sure, I have other body "issues"--like I said, I'm no spring chicken--but having a smooth neck makes me feel so much better, and able to deal with all the other signs and drawbacks of aging.

On the day of my surgery, Dr. Ridgway put me at ease right away. (I had done my research and was pretty relaxed about him anyway, but his upbeat manner was helpful.) I was a bit worried about the anesthesia (just generally), but the staff put me at ease on that point, too. I don't remember much about that day, of course, but my subsequent appointments with Dr. Ridgway went well, and he was very calm and reassuring throughout the entire process. He always takes the time to answer any questions--he's not a "hand on the doorknob" type doctor. He gives you the time you need. Office staff deserves accolades, too. Very professional and responsive.
