Vaginoplasty

I am a mother of five children. My last labor I delivered naturally a baby boy 9.4lbs with some linebacker shoulders. I am now 45 and decided to get vaginoplasty performed by Dr. Pelosi in July. Surgery went well and I healed with no complications. When I began to have intercourse again, I felt tighter but not what I expected. My expectations may have been too high but the difference was minimal. Now almost five months later, I don’t feel a difference at all. At the entrance it is a little tighter, but beyond that, I feel as before the surgery. I do understand age and other factors are needed to take into consideration. When I was researching information before making the decision to have surgery, I couldn’t find anyone who wrote about what they experienced long term from a vaginoplasty . That is why I am writing this review.

This is unfortunate and sad to hear. I wanted to get the procedure done this summer but I’m just nervous that $10,000 is going to go down the drain. I don’t feel tight at all (3 births). I can’t squeeze my muscles to save my life during sex or to be able to orgasm. Can’t squeeze to stop urine either. It just really sucks. I’m sorry you didn’t get what u expected. This is a great fair I have. How much was your surgery with everything included? Did you get put to sleep? I’m scared I want to stay awake for it. anesthesia makes me nervous. Did you ever go see a Urogynecologist before this to see if you had a prolapse of any kind? I wonder if the doctor you went to for vaginoplasty would’ve included that for you if u needed it? Please write back

Hello. I'm sorry for your situation, especially not having any strength of your pelvic muscles. I was examined thoroughly and did not have a prolapse and did have some strength of my pelvic muscles. I chose to receive anesthesia as I did not want to be awake during procedure. It was $5500 for surgery. I understand completely about having little control of your bladder. I have trouble sneezing too hard or jumping with out some leaking. However, Dr. told me that surgery might not correct that due to positioning of our anatomy. I would do as much research as you can and get a thorough examination. Maybe due to your circumstance, this surgery might help you. Hope this helps.

Tinac4 hi i had some of the same issues as you do and i was searching the net for vaginoplasty but decided to go to a Urogynecologist whom diagnosed me with a pelvic prolapse so i ended up getting a bladder sling, and a partial Hysterectomy (only took my uterus) and i got an Anterior and posterior vaginal repair which my insurance covered being it was medically necessary and that definitely Tightened my vagina i feel so much better i am 36 yrs old with 3kids that i delivered vaginally which had me stretched badly I’m just happy i can enjoy sex again

cmd038 do u think this surgery is a hoax? I’ll be so disappointed if I’m throwing away this 5500! How can Dr’s not know what they are doing? The canal is suppose to be tightened!

Hi cmd038 .Could I ask why you have given 5 stars if the surgery failed so quickly?? I'm looking to have surgery with this doctor but I'm still not 100% sure...Vaginoplasty shouldn't loosen so fast! It should only change if you have another vaginal birth .I myself have had a vaginoplasty that wasn't done right in the 1st place ..im so nervous about going to another doctor and for that surgery to fail aswell !!

Hi tinaC4 . Yes I'm very nervous about getting more surgery because my 1st one failed ..The doctor I went to said I'd be a new woman ! I was so disappointed with the surgery , I don't find much difference in my canal , and my opening is far to tight! I've been doing quite a bit of research on Dr Pelosi and he seems very good with reviews
