51 Yr Old, Ruptured Implant, Extensive Tissue and Muscle Damage. Atlanta, GA

Needed surgeon with extraction of ruptured implants. I'm glad I chose Dr.D because, what she found during the removal of ruptured implant was not at all expected. Apparently, the rupture had occurred at least 2-3 yrs before it show up on mamo and I became aware of it. The implant rupture had actually grown into not only a lot of tissue, but muscles as well, wrapping around my side. I'm so grateful Dr.D not only knew what to do but more importantly, took the extra 3 hours to do it! I truly believe a lesser surgeon may not have taken the time to remove all tissue and muscle necessary and instead may have just removed the implant and inserted the new ones and closed me up.
My new implants are exactly as I expected and so far I am very pleased. The one side has been a very painful recovery but Dr. D has monitored me closely and kept me as comfortable as possible. I would strongly recommend Dr.D and her staff as your go to surgeon, especially if it's of a reconstructive nature. I'm at 4 weeks recovered now and am very pleased.
