I can NOT believe how much of a damn scalpel genius Dr Deutsch is. I feel like I've got a confidence back I didn't really how much this previous journey had impacted.

I had the remainder of the lower necrosis scar removed and I had my areola reduced. The black around my nipples is just dried blood under tape which will come off in 2 weeks or so.

My belly is super flat and my scar looks like a regular tummy tuck scar. Because of how much scarring had affected my abdomen, there was no way to get around the vertical scar underneath my belly button. But it looks SO much better and I know it will fade.

Recovery has been so much easier. Almost deceptively easier. Since no muscle was cut this time, just skin. I don't feel any discomfort or pain at all. It doesn't feel like I had surgery. I had the surgery on a Friday and was off all pain meds by Monday.

I am told that tension on the incision is the enemy so I'm trying to remain seated and not stretch or pull my skin in any way.

I've got a beach trip in about 5 weeks and I'm SO excited to be able to wear a bikini!!!

So excited! While I thought I might have wanted to go bigger, im thinking my breasts are settling so nicely. I have a little skin irritation under my right breast that my PS said it is probably a tape allergy. Benadryl and light layer of cortisone cleared it right up. I can't believe how nicely my tummy is healing. Even the shape looks nice! So far, just thrilled with the results and can't wait to get past the final surgery to complete the scar revision on the abdomen and finally fix my areola.

It's so cool to feel like I might actually get the results I had originally hoped for. After such a traumatic year of bad going to worse with the previous surgery/surgeon, I am so optimistic! I still have one more surgery to get the rest of the scar out in a few months but I am so pumped to have a normal looking belly button again.

I've had a little bit of daily bleeding right at the crossing of the bottom of my abdominal scar (totally normal) and that has just about completely closed and subsided.

My breasts are starting to soften a little bit. I believe there are taped stitches on the bottom of them that will come out in a few days. They can sometimes get a little stuck on my binder. I can't wait until I don't have to wear the binder anymore but it's an easy price to pay. My husband is absolutely thrilled that I have boobs again and I feel like I've got my shape and proportion back.
