Awesome Experience! Smooth, Comfortable, and They're Fully Committed to Your Long-term Success.

It was such a good experience starting from the first consultation. I had already been using minoxidil, and LLLT for a few years and in the last year began using finasteride 1m tablets once a day. I did notice that my thinning had come to a complete stop (or a least or dramatic reduction) after combine all three treatments. At the consultation Dr. Anderson diagnosed the cause of my thinning, talked with me more about the ARTAS FUE which I had learned about while I was researching hair restoration procedures. I was familiar with FUE but I specifically made my appointment with him to learn more about ARTAS. I was more expensive than traditional FUE, and I expected it would be but I saw this as an investment in my future. My dad has really thin hair on his crown and years of sun exposure led to the development of melanoma. He had the spots removed and had a few more reappear a few years later and they caught early and, again, removed. But I didn't want a future of having melanomas excised from my scalp should I follow in his footsteps. So for me its not strictly aesthetics, but also an investment in my health.

While examining my scalp and discussing the different options available to me we actually taught me more about the LLLT treatments I'd been doing at home for the last 2 years(ish). He recommended a better regimen for it and boy did I start seeing results within the first two weeks of using the new regimen--he recommended that use it more frequently but I don't want to encourage anyone else to do so without making sure its right for your situation without consulting with him. And I definitely recommend Dr. Anderson to anyone. All the research I've done varied from one source to another but they all concluded that the best outcomes are based on your surgeons experience and Dr. Anderson has dedicated his career to helping guys like us and is EXTREMELY experienced and knows all the little nuances that can only come with experience.

After scheduling my ARTAS treatment his team when right to work providing me with pre-op road map that began about two weeks prior with things I should do, and not do, to prepare my scalp for the procedure. They kept in constant communication and were happy to hear from me when I had questions. And if they didn't know the answer to my questions they were very quick discuss it with Dr. Anderson and always got back to me the same day. I could tell they were an very efficient team and worked well together; I never once made me feel that they were too busy to help and that just made me more confident in my decision to stick with them. His associate, Matt, told me I was now part of the family! And that gave me a sense that I wasn't just a number or another patient to be cycled in and out, but that my goals were their goals and that they stay with me to see it through. I'm at the beginning of my journey but I feel fully supported by Dr. Anderson and his team.

The day of the procedure I was felt fully prepared and everything went as planned. I was comfortable the entire time. I did start to feel a bit of pain late in the procedure and tried to keep it to myself for as long as I could. It wasn't so much that I was afraid to mention as much as it was that I didn't want to interrupt the flow; things were going really smooth and his nurses were in the zone! But eventually I reached a point where I didn't want to tough it out much longer and let it get worse (trust me, I stayed within my comfort zone. When I say I toughed it out, all I really did was just wait for what seemed like an opportune time to mention it. I was comfortable letting them continue to their good work for the time being, but I digress) When I brought it their attention Dr. Anderson was their right away and I was pain free again in no time.

Just as I was given a comprehensive pre-op plan, I was given an even more comprehensive post-op packet with day-by-day, hour-by-hour instructions and what to expect, how to take care of my new grafts and the materials needed to do it. Dr. Anderson called me himself on my second day post-op to check in and make sure I was comfortable and address the few questions I had for him. I'm now on my fifth day post-op and though I don't know exactly how other patients feel at different points in their recovery, I can say that I feel really good. The most pain I felt I would easily describe as nothing more than a typical tension headache. I never had any sharp visceral pains. I was gentle with my grafts and as of today they feel pretty solid. The swelling was completely gone on the third day. The itching is was the hardest part because you have to fight every urge not to scratch it but I quickly found they spray bottle he gave me to keep my new grafts moist was the most effective way to instantly stop the itching, I carried that spay bottle with me constantly! I can honestly say that I still haven't had much scabbing at all. And though I feel like I could return no my normally daily routine I'm not giving into that and staying with the plan--I don't want to be overconfident and accidently damage the grafts. But all that is to say that I haven't had any real pain or complications post-op and sticking to the plan feels like its speeding my recovery. Obviously, only time will tell after a few months how my the grafts are doing but based on how everything has gone so far I have a lot of confidence that the new grafts will thrive... I hope! I'm looking forward to my next visit to really find out from Dr. Anderson how my progress is going and doing PRP treatments to keep maximize my results.

All in all I feel really good about joining this team. They're skilled, they're experienced, they're very knowledgeable, and they've been there for me every step of they way so far. They don't leave any stone unturned. GO WITH DR. ANDERSON. I know I just started the journey and its too early to determine what kind of results I'll have but he knows how to get the results we all want and I know if I any problems present themselves he'll have a plan to get me back on course. I have all the faith in the world in him and his team. They grade their success on your success. Your goals will become their goals. I feel like it would be impossible not have great results with these guys.
