Lipo is not for Sissies

I had nearly 5 liters taken from my thighs alone. They are a wonder to behold. I’m almost 3 weeks out from surgery. The swelling in my feet & ankles is still happening pretty heavily so I’m trying to help allay that with compression socks. The photos are a good indicator, as I don’t usually have cankles, but I do for now. Reminder to be grateful for what you have.
Always wearing compression garments with the exception of showering, Bruising is much less prominent on both arms & legs. Arms feeling & looking good. That thigh swell, though I’ve been massaging the hard areas that form on my legs in mostly the inner thigh & groin area that I’m told is scar tissue. It’s sensitive, to say the least.
Moving from laying in bed to upright or sitting to standing is a challenge at first because the position of the swelling has to readjust. I’ve had clients ask if I’m having back pain because of my strange walking stride - thanks for noticing, I’m fine. Also, the fact that my thighs touch has never been more noticeable as the swelling makes me feel like a balloon animal.

Why: See the Photo

How mortifying is this photo? It’s from a friend’s wedding in the photos from the photographer for all eternity. Guess you could say this is a good before pic.
It’s also my first day back at work. Definitely challenging on my feet, well, really my thighs.

A Week Out

Drains out & bandages off today! Can we just celebrate that my arms aren’t bound anymore? So nice to be in a compression garment instead of bandages. I’ve posted photos today in the compression garment & I’ll get around to before & afters in time. This is really the first time I’ve seen my arms myself. I actually didn’t take before photos myself.
