Amazing Lip Lift Revision and Lip Implant Removal

Sorry in the last post I’ve tried to upload some pictures but most of them came out when I uploaded them here in a super zoom so they wansn’t really showing well. I’m going to try again in this post!

It’s been a few months since my surgery with Dr.M and I couldn’t be happier! The incision is healing really nice and it’s truly been a breeze compared with the first lip lift that I had done with another surgeon. I will post a few pictures so you can see how it’s healing!

I want to start this review by saying that I'm a very private person but as this community has helped me so much I want to share my incredible experience with Dr. Mascaró.
(I live in Spain).
Since I can remember I have always been conscious about my lips. They were very thin, and also pretty flat and without a shape. Some years ago I though that adding some volume would be what my lips needed in order to look the way I wanted. So around 5 years ago I did some lip injections with Juvederm and the result was nice but my body absorbed most of this substance in just to weeks (it supposed to last at least 6/8 months, but that wasn't my case). After that I did a research about permanent lip augmentation and I found "Permalip" implants. So 3 years ago I decided to go under that surgery in order to have those implants put into my lips. These was the worst decision ever and let me tell you that having those implants inside your lips is the worst feeling ever, they move and you can feel then all the time. As a result, the volume was almost the same that I had before these implants but my smile looked uglier. (Nice job!!).
So my smile at this point became pretty much an obsession and I kept looking for ways to improve it. That's when I found this procedure called "lip lift". As i live in Spain, this procedure is not very famous over there an there is not many doctors that have the expertise required on it.
My journey in this matter started almost exactly one year ago, when a doctor in Barcelona (Spain), performed my first lip lift. I did my research on him (I almost couldn't find anything online about his results but I though this was the doctor with the most experience on this in Spain). I wasn't lucky and the result came out pretty bad and I was very unhappy with the way my scar looked.
The surgery was quick (maybe too quick) and the moment I came out the OP I saw that the incision wasn't done properly and it was uneven.
A few weeks after when the incision was healing I knew that that was going to look even worse in the future and also I noticed one side was slightly higher than the other.
As a result I was devastated and my self confidence was literally lying on the floor. In that precise moment I started looking for the best doctor (no matter where I had to travel) to fix the mess that I had.
That's when I started looking on RealSelf and I found a lot of reviews of Dr. Mascaró patients. I couldn't believe how good the results where and how perfectionist he seemed. So I knew straight away that he was going to be the doctor who was going to fix this mess I had.
I did a Facetime consultation with him just to check that I was a good candidate for the lip lift revision and I was, so the weeks after I booked the day of the surgery and I started to prepare everything.
During this time I also decided that I wanted my limp implants out (for good!) so I tell them and this was no problem.
Exactly one week ago Dr. Mascaró perfomed the lip lift revision and he took out the Permalip implants too. Let me tell you that this was a breeze compared to my first lip lift back in Spain. All the team were super warming and well prepared and as everyone says here, Dr. Mascaró is an angel. He really cares for his patients and makes you feel safe every moment. Also you can see that he loves what he does and he is very passionate and most important of it, he is a truly perfectionist.
So after the surgery I went to the hotel (I'm staying at the Hyatt place) and put ice on it every hour.
This time, since the moment I came out the OP, I knew the result was going to be excepcional. The incision looked perfect and was very hide compared to the last time. And the incision on the lip for the implant removal, almost invisible.
As you can see in the photos that I will upload, my lips after the surgery were very very swollen and uneven because of the implant removal but after tow days they were completely fine! And I couldn't be happier with the result.
Now 7 days after I can barely see the incision compared to the last time. it also hurt way less this time (even though I had the implants removed...) It's crazy how different could be the same procedure with two different doctors. This is heaven compared to the last time. So please guys do your research properly!
Tomorrow I'm flying back to Spain and I feel so blessed that I found Dr. Mascaró. I will be forever grateful to him and his wonderful and warming team.
