Before beginning my journey, I had pondered this life change for many years. I read so many reviews about people stating how they had gone to multiple consults with different surgeons and finally found one that “felt right.” I was a bit concerned about if I would have the feeling that many of these women had when I decided to set up a consultation. I originally heard about Fiala Aesthetics from a former friend and decided to give them a call. I had an appointment two weeks from the day that I called. The day of my appointment I walked into the office and from that moment I knew that I was in the right place. The ladies up front were extremely friendly and very welcoming. They were very efficient and timely with getting my information from me and into the system and ready for my consult. Once I was called back, I couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was! Once I sat down in Dr. O’s office I was SUPER nervous! I thought to myself, “how am I going to talk to someone about my boobs? This is so awkward!” It is a lot harder than I thought to explain to someone what I was looking for as far as what I wanted them to look like and size. Once he walked in and sat down next to me like we were old pals and introduced himself, I thought, “Wow! This guy is so nice!” He asked a bunch of ice breaking questions to get to know me and then eased into the real reason why I was there. Once we chatted for a bit it was time to meet back with his nurse Sandy and get the process started on trying on different implant sizes and get all of the appropriate pictures taken. I was of course the most nervous about this part from being a bit shy in that department but she made me feel extremely comfortable and by the time I really realized what was happening everything was done! She knew exactly what sizes to pull out and let me try on and I thought that was great because they actually listened to what I wanted!! Dr. O came in to take some addition pictures and measurements to make sure that the size we picked would be the best for me. Once all of that was done, it was time for the process of explaining finances and setting up a surgery date. This was super easy and straight to the point. There were no hidden fees or misunderstandings at all.

Jumping forward to surgery day, I was a bit nervous but that is to be expected. I had full confidence in Dr. O and his staff. I have had other surgeries and normally get a bit nervous. I arrived early per Dr. O’s instructions so I could start IV antibiotics due to being in the medical field and him wanting to just error on the side of caution with any risk of infection. I thought that this small yet big detail was pretty impressive on his part. I feel that sometimes things like this could be overlooked or not thought about and this is just one of the many reasons why he is an awesome surgeon! He pays attention to detail. He wants what is best for his patients and that is so admirable. My nurse through this whole process was Meghan. She is awesome! She explained everything that was happening, was not in a rush, and spent as much time with me as possible. She took note to everything I was concerned about for post surgery needs and made sure that I was taken care of. It was finally time to head back into the OR! I have to make mention of this, they have the best OR I have ever seen! Not only is it immaculate, but that OR table was the most comfortable thing I have ever laid on! Haha I get a bit teary eyed for some reason when I finally get to the OR but they had me laughing right down to the very second that the anesthesiologist snuck the sleepy meds on me by admiring my leopard print socks and trying to steal them for Sandy! Next thing I knew I was hearing Meghan’s sweet voice in the recovery room! She basically never left my side for longer than 5 minutes total and did everything she could to keep me comfortable. Basically like having my own personal nurse because that’s how it felt. I don’t do well with waking up from anesthesia and had expressed that in the past that hearing a familiar voice such as my mom’s will help calm me down. I am forever grateful that they actually went to get my mom and had her come back to get me calm. This meant so much to me! I have numerously apologized for my excessive crying upon awakening at my multiple follow up appointments haha! I must make mention and will several more times, from the moment I woke up from surgery to this very moment (10 weeks post op) writing this, I have had NO and I repeat NO pain!

I was set up with my week follow up with Dr. O and once again just completely impressed at how amazing his staff is. They make you feel like you’re part of their family with genuine concern as to how you’re feeling. I completely expected to be sore or down for a couple days post surgery but that was not the case at all. The night of my surgery I was up and sitting talking to my family and friends that came to visit me. They were all impressed at how well I was handling myself after surgery and kept asking if I was uncomfortable. I also received a phone call from Sandy the night of my surgery checking up on me and making sure I was doing ok. Aside from having two new additions to my chest, I truly couldn’t even tell that I had anything done! When he said he used some numbing medicine, he wasn’t kidding! I had absolutely no bleeding and again NO PAIN! Dr. O has made sure to follow my recovery very closely as to make sure that everything is healing nicely. My scars are barely scars at all! They have healed nicely with no complications. I am so happy with the size and outcome of my surgery. They came out better than I had ever expected them to. They are exactly what I wanted them to look like and very “real” to my body type and structure. Did I mention Dr. O is the best? Haha

Overall I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr. Oppenheimer! He is absolutely amazing at what he does and should be so proud! I know he is and it shows in his work. I HIGHLY recommend him and his team for anyone seriously thinking of having any type of cosmetic surgery done. Thank you so much Dr. O, I still believe no words can express how great you are and you should be so proud of who you are and what you do for your patients!! I hope in my nursing career I get to have an awesome boss like you some day!! Oh and P.S. I hope you’re still reading this because I passed my boards!!!
