48 Year Old Unusual Complications During Recovery

As many ladies here I was uncomfortable with my Labia.
I started my research and found doctor with excellent experience and reputation.
Had a phone consultation and book surgery.
I flew in Atlanta for my surgery. Surgery went well and I had no discomfort or pain for first week.
As the time went on I started to feel worse. More pain, more burning.
I contacted office and nurse said looks like I have yeast infection and prescribe meds.
Now I am 3.5 weeks in and can’t sit or walk or sleep because of pain and burning.
Not sure if it is infection or something else but I have very painful spot on the left bottom .
It is difficult communicating with office as I am from out of town.
I think dr. Miklos is fantastic , I am just not lucky.
Here are some pictures.

I am 2 weeks post op and also can’t sleep from the burning pain ... I also made the mistake of having the procedure done by a PLastic surgeon out of town ... i think it is a yeast infection but so far there’s been no improvement afye 2 courses of treatment - I’m in agony, can’t sit down, can’t walk well and am so constipated that it hurts. The urgency to utinste is always there - agony . I regret this surgery so much .

So sorry about what you going through. Have you contact your doctor?

Yes I have - thank you for responding ! He thinks it’s a fungal infection and prescribed flukanosole but after two doses I’m still raw and not healing. The infection won’t go away ... i can’t lie down and can’t sit - and it gets worse at night

How are you feeling?

Hi ! I am finally, after 18 days, feeling better. I think things are looking more “normal”, too. Wish I could send you pics but I’m not ready to review my dr yet (Dr. Jugenburg) . I am now able to sleep and can walk a little longer - I am still working from home because sitting is a challenge (I tried to make it through a day at the office yesterday but it was impossible . I’ve finally been prescribed pain meds that work for me: “apo-keterolac” . They are wonderful ! These pills give me absolutely no side effects and greatly reduce the inflammation. After 3 doses of fluconazole, it looks like the fungal infection is clearing up as well. How long did it take for the greyish film to go away for you & how long before you were able to sit down, lol ? Thank you for responding.

Glad you have some improvement . Everyone recovers differently. It took for four months and several courses of steroids to start feeling better. I do not think it will take you that long. I had some strange reaction to sutures possibly. But who knows. I wish you speedy recovery.

Pictures from before surgery.
This recovery is taking much longer than anticipated. Especially I did not have any complications or discomfort at the beginning. Now this burning and itching is killing me . I thought 4 weeks later I should be much better than I am . So I am little discouraged at this point.
I knew choosing surgeon out of town brings its own risk . As you can’t stop at office for doctor to take a look to make sure all is ok .

After taking two dosage medication for yeast infection I am still have intense burning that keeps me up at night.
Walking and sitting hurts .
I am taking Benadryl but that does not help.
Maybe I am allergic to sutures .
As of right now I regret going forward with procedure.
