WORTH IT$11,500
Dr. Timothy R. Miller was referred to my by my son's dermatologist, Dr. Green. The mirror was showing me that no amount of drugstore products would restore my falling cheeks, smooth my wrinkles or lift my jowls. My mother had a facelift at about my age so for me it is normal. I was most impressed by Dr. Miller's double board certification in plastic and facial plastic surgery. I had always planned to have my facelift after my last child left for college, but the reasonable price Sandy quoted me and my husband's having to take unused vacation time, Sandi and I scheduled a High Smas lower face and neck lift. We added extras to the price including voluma injected beneath my nose to correct my profile, juvederm and overnite stay with night nurse and general anesthesia. All well worth the little extra cash. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself! The outcome exceeded all expectations! I will credit Sandi with explaining the procedures and costs and helping me feel confident enough to go thru with this, even before I discussed it with Dr. Miller. She had organized the pre and post op instructions, appointment schedule and extensive list of meds to avoid into the most patient- friendly packet I have ever seen. I fasted from midnight the night before for my general anesthesia, and was glad to be hydrated by iv the entire length of my stay. Sandi was very supportive, professional, warm and confident. Gave me a pill for nerves, I think, and one to prevent nausea. She knew that the last time I walked into a surgery room my life and the life of my then unborn son were at risk, from complete Previa. Sandi ( the woman we all want to come back looking like in our next life) and Anesthesiologist Dr. Patel ( the woman every mother wants her daughter to grow up to be) encouraged me knowing the memories from 1997 came flooding back. I felt valued and surrounded by the best professionals in this field.

Fabulous results, and a great price too!

I am afraid I misspoke the price, so I updated it. I had put down a deposit months before the surgery date, so I was on a separate bill when I looked to see the price.

You look wonderful! I've been researching doc's and believe Dr. Miller is now at the top of the list :) thank you for posting!

He is wonderful. I am a surgeon's daughter so I grew up listening to play by play surgical stories at the dinner table, and I felt comfortable with Dr. Miller. Ask me anything.

Thanks! :) it looks like you healed pretty quickly; how long did you have swelling and/or bruising? I would be traveling to CA for the procedure and am concerned about the trip back lol. By the way, did you see many pics of his other patients and their scars? He doesn't really have pics in his gallery (maybe one or two if I recall).

I had about 3 weeks of swelling, but it wasn't really noticeable with makeup. I was able to keep my salt intake in check for the first month and that limited the swelling. I also rested mostly all day lying down for the first three weeks. Bruising was easily covered with dermablend makeup that Sandy taught me how to apply and chose my shade. I have no scars that are visible. Under my chin there is a 1 inch raised line where an incision was but it is no longer pink. Dr miller used no staples, only dissolving sutures and some synthetic sutures that he removed in the first week. I had never seen such beautifully even and small stitches, so cleverly located, and I am so glad I went to him. The follow up appointments will continue for a year, he said. During the first couple weeks he sees the patient every three days or so. I live in Orange County.

I'm scheduled with Dr Miller for 4/12. I'm so excited and nervous. His quote is a lot higher than yours...charges have changed :(

How much did you pay for this surgery?
February 24, 2015
The base price was $6,000. That is high Smas lower face and neck lift. It is a deep layer surgery, not just the surface. The overnight stay is extra, and the implants I had were extra. Sandi Knox can tell you more .

Bleulady, you look great. Did he do anything to your eyes? Also, did you have drainage tubes the first day?

Thank you. I had co2 laser on my face, neck and chest including eyelids a couple of months before my surgery. It erased so many lines, I was amazed!

Right before surgery pics

These are the right before the surgery pics, about 2 months after I had co2 laser for crows feet, mouth lines, neck and chest. I highly recommend that pretreatment

Every time I see your post in my RS newsletter, I am inspired, again. Beautiful!

Did the CO2 laser tighten your skin at all? Did it tighten your neck a little bit? Thank you.

Did you get the active fx to area under your eyes? How was the pain and recovery over all?
May 11, 2015
Hi Neenah, dr Miller did active fx on my whole face including eyelids and under eyes, neck and décolleté.
No pain during procedure, he's really good about that. Skin felt tight and peeled, keeping skin moist was all it took to ease tightness. He gave me a goody bag containing post laser tinted moisturizer, moisturizer, cleanser. I bought a dozen baby washcloths to keep soaked in ice water, to completely take away the tightness.

Wow, you look amazing! The after photos show practically no swelling and bruising! I live in San Diego and have been researching but no PS here is wowing me except Dr. Miller. I found him last week on RealSelf after reading a review. I just wonder how difficult it would be to have to go back and forth since I am about an hour and a half away? Thanks for your review! it's so helpful to find others like you with great results and a caring, artistic doctor!

It sounds like this all went very well for you. You look great! Do you have any residual swelling or numbness?
Was it strange having to get your ears pierced again?
