I use actives like vitamin c, b and tretinoin 0.05% in my current skincare. I want to use aha's once a week and 6 days tretinoin. Can aha's(10-30% like the ordinary or others with pH 3-4) be used safely with tretinoin 0.05%? I once used hydroquinone for days and applied strong chemical peel and got burns. Will tretinoin and aha's(10-30%,ph-3-4) give me burns like the hydroquinone and strong peels(50-70%)?
I've read a lot about layering skincare this week and since around February (it's May now) I've been using tretinoin almost immediately after my Vitamin C serum. I haven't had irritation but I'm wondering if this combo caused some permanent damage in my skin? I read that it is advised to wait 30-40 minutes after applying Vitamin C. Also, would it be advisable to use AHA/BHA's in the morning, and tretinoin at night? Or AHA/BHA's twice a week and tretinoin for the days not using the acids?
I am in my early 30's and live in Florida (prob Hawaii after this) and I have been told by professionals that I would benefit from a medical peel for my static eye wrinkles and sun damage from reckless sun exposure in my 20's. I was also told to use Retin-A. How can I use a daily glycolic peel, Retin-A treatment or medical peel when I live in places where I am in constant sun? I don't want to hide from my beautiful climate (I now wear spf30), but I want to get my skin under control. Thanks!
when to apply AHA if I already use vitamin C in the morning and renova at night? In the morning, i cleansed, toned then apply vitamin C then sunscreen. When do I apply AHA in the morning? Im already using Renova at night time.
