Ultrasound to look for scar tissue, pseudo bursa after tummy tuck. Lower abdomen buldges out I had a tummy tuck 14 months ago. I did have a seroma after my drain came out that was aspirated. I've had a deformity/bulging and pulling sensation ever since. My surgeon has consistently ignored me. We have a portable ultrasound at my work, and I'm wondering if any of this shows scar tissue or an encapsulated seroma. I probably didn't do it right, but here are some images.
I had a full tummy tuck October 2021. The next day it was discovered I had developed a golf ball sized hematoma. My drains were removed 7 days later then I had the area aspirated daily for 30 days. It then showed I had a pseudobursa. I had a full revision May 2022 with drains and all. I could tell a few days after the revision that scar tissue still remained. The Dr. then placed Kenalog 10 and 5FU to try and dissolve the scar tissue. My stomach looks so bumpy and irregular. What can I do?
I had a successful tummytuck back in July 2021. I am highly certain that I have developed a pseudobursa/pseudocyst on my right upper abdominal wall. Scans dont show much but it has textbook characteristics. I really rather avoid another full tummy tuck tbut it does cause discomfort and tugging feelinging on my abdomen sometimes. I had it drained a couple of times. The first 20ml and the last less than 1ml. Are there other treatment options other a surgery?
I had a tummy tuck 6 months ago I have one side very noticeably bigger than the other very soft and on that side and a tiny deep sore spot about the size of a quarter.Revision Is scheduled for exactly one year from my last procedure is it possible this is a pseudobursa or just loose skin? if a pseudobursa is found will it be removed? My dr said I had a lot of scar tissue and my skin was very stiff and hard to pull she's giving me a revision but says there's absolutely no guarantee advice please
I had a tummy tuck 18 years ago. Since June I have had persistent pain above my belly button. I have had ct scans and an endoscopy and was diagnosed with gerd and mild gastritis. The pain above my belly button is persistent and is bulging but no hernia was found. Would a pseudobursa show up on a CT scan? It's also very lumpy feeling and tender around the scar. I really need help. Thank you.
Dear Doctors, I had a TT 6 years and the recovery was uneventful. For the last 5 years I have noted a thickened oval scar like feeling above the incision on the right hand side. There are no symptoms and you can not see it. It is only a mental nuisance when and if I feel it. I have no problems with it and would prefer not to remove it as it has been present for 5 years and not changed at all. If it is a pseudobursa or scar tissue, it is ok to leave it under these circumstances? Many thanks.
I had a tummy tuck 7 years ago and have developed a seroma and pseudobursa. It is causing me discomfort since it sits on top of my stomach. I've had a CT scan done and there is indeed a small 3cm seroma. A general surgeon will remove it. My question is, when a seroma is removed, will the pseudobursa be taken out as well? I feel that my biggest problem as far as pain and pressure is from the pseudobursa and not really the seroma since it's so small. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
6 years ago I had suprapubic lipectomy with no complications. I had TT w/o muscle repair almost 4 years ago with many complications including excessive blood loss and wound infection. I still have painful lumps that feel like internal splinters. Is it possible to have minimal revision surgery without redoing entire TT and separating abdominal skin again? CT had no diagnosis. Could there be pseudobursa without it showing up? Have seen mixed opinions on revision surgery for pain...
2 years post tt with mr. I did not have any obvious seroma issues after surgery but DID have significant swelling for well over a year. I have begun to suspect that I might have a pseudobursa in the whole region from belly button to scar. I've had tightness and discomfort there that has never improved since surgery and it feels rather hard and thick there. When my doc goes in to revise my scar, will he be able to tell if there is a pseudobursa there or is there more surgery involved to check for that?
