Around my eyes are very black, my chin is slightly lighter but still dark and my nose and cheeks are a yellowish, light brown color. Without makeup I look very foolish as you can imagine. I have started using a 5% hydroquinine based cream. I have been using it for 5 days now on the skin around my eyes and I feel a a slight burn& my skin has also become dry, more wrinkly and is peeling slightly. I am so desperate to make my skin tone more even particularly under my eyes.
I'm hoping to get info about this for skin pigmentation/overall condition improvement in young, Caucasian skin. Both drugs are known for irritation. Would mixing them together make it worse? Some preparations add corticosteroid, but I've got visible veins & I'm reluctant to trust tretinoin to mitigate the skin atrophy potential. Also, should I mix them, or use one product a night, switching each night? Tretinoin contributes penetration enhancement, but I'm unsure of the irritant impact of that.
What are my options to get my dark brown birthmark removed? I consulted a laser specialist and they said that lasers might not help me because of my skin color (Im Indian). They suggested to use hydroquinone to see if it could possibly lighten then skin? Do I have any other options?
Hydroquinone - A truthful straight answer. I have thyroid issues. I have cancer issues. I also have melasma, brown spots. I read a report from 2007 regarding carcinogenic, reports recently that it HAS caused serious issues for people with immune issues, and effects/damages DNA. DOES IT cause all these issues? Tired of articles like on here...stating its in obagi products and skirting around the fact it causes health issues. Id like to know once and for all. Thanks
Im a 18 years old girl , I've been suffering from hyperpigmentation on genitals ( labia) and im asking if hydroquinone would be able to fade the hyperpigmentation Im using it now 3 times a week and the other days i use alpha arbutin and vitamin c serum
I have PCOS and developed a Linea Nigra 1.5 years ago, although I have never been pregnant. I am very self conscious about it. What can I do to fade it? Should I look into lasers? Would applying hydroquinone to this area help or is that a bad idea?
Im 18 and my vagina is really dark (picture attached). Im going to use kojic acid soap and hydroquinone 4% to help lighten it, will this work? Do you have any other suggestions to lighten my vagina and how long will it take?
I have used 4% hydroquinone for about 4 months near my mouth to treat hyperpigmentation from acne. While I stopped about 3 months ago, the area has gotten darker and wider. The area got darker then slightly lighter . I did have a breakout 2 months ago in the lower part of the patch. Could the darkening be rebound hyperpigmentation/sun damage or ochronosis? Thank you.
Hi, my skin had got tanned. So I started using hydroquinone 2 % + tretionoin + mometasone furoate cream on my feet. But unfortunately, I have developed white patches on my feet. I have discontinued the cream. Also, It has very mild burning and itching. Is it temporary and how much time it takes for it to resolve?
