I had a breast augmentation 9 months ago. I had the incision through the areola and both have scars. One is worse than the other (red and raised). My doctor gave me Silagen sheets to use. Since the scar is the entire half of my bottom areola, is it ok to cut the sheet and place it over my entire nipple in order to cover the scar? Or will this effect my nipple (i.e. change the color, or make my actual nipples look different)? Are there any other options for areola scars? Thank you!
My left breast is still a bit bigger and higher than my right. I saw my doctor last week and he showed me how to push it down (hasn't come down yet). His nurse also recommended something for the scarring, it's called Siagen, scar refinement system, it's 100% pure silicone gel & cost me $65. Has anyone else used this? I hope I didn't get ripped off!
I got cleared to start scare treatment for my anchor scars from a breast lift & augmentation, I have been using Silagen two times a day, but have noticed that it leaves a filmy layer, even after showering, that doesn't come off unless I pick it off. I don't want to pick at anything near that area, so I am just leaving it for now. Does that mean that I am using too much of it, or is this part of the process? Thank you so much!
How do i know when to replace my silicon strips? The package instructions say 3-4 when they no longer stick or start to disintegrate but Ive been wearing mine for about 5 weeks and they are still sticky and in almost perfect condition. Do i automatically replace them at the 4 week mark? I just want to make sure it is still working.
