Would like to flatten scars/reverse damage. I got subcision w/ filler in March & was left with raised texture. I got all the filler dissolved & did one round of kenalog with a derm in July & noticed a subtle difference, but still looks raised. The area feels flat to touch, but visibly looks like small bumps (looks more raised throughout the day). I saw another derm & she said she wouldn't do kenalog because the area feels flat (even though it looks raised) & that I'll have this texture forever. Do you recommend kenalog or electrocautery?
I had a lower face lift/neck lift 10 months ago. I have very red scars in front of my ears, and hypertrophic scaring behind both ears, and scaring from the skin stretching (not even where I was cut). Ive had multiple rounds of Kenalog injections and laser to try and help with the redness. Scars are tight and itchy and embarrassing. Dr talks about scar revision. I think he pulled my skin too tight and scared it could happen again. Advice is appreciated. Thanks
I had a buccinator myomectomy almost 9 months ago and have scar tissue left along the incision right around my mouth. Ive had a few rounds of kenalog but was told they diluted them down. How can I get rid of this? More concentrated kenalog or something else? Its created a lump around my mouth and is super uncomfortable to talk, smile etc.
Hello. The first photo is when I first got the Kenalog atrophy and the second photo is 1.5 years later (now). Does anyone know if this will eventually go away or do I have to suffer with this dent on my face forever? Thank you.
I have not seen any improvement. i was told it will take a few months but its been 2 months and 1/2 but no signs of starting improvement. im scared that this is permanent. the dermatologist told me had we not done the injections it would be likely that the acne keloidalis would still be present. will the color fully regain or is this my fate?
I have a keloid on my shoulder that I went to a dermatologist to get kenalog injections as well as using silicone scar sheets. This is the result after using the scar sheets every day. The keloid is softer, still itchy and sunken. But I am wondering what other treatments can I do for the whiteness to start fading away and decrease in size. Thank you.
Is there anyway to reverse skin atrophy from a kenalog/cortisone injection? I had it injected into my pimple and now I have a huge divot in between my eyebrows that wont go away. Its causing me a lot of distress and making me feel like I dont even want to go out. My Dermatolgist has injected saline 2x and I see no improvements at all if anything its getting worse. I need some help please?!
Im 18 months post op on a tummy tuck with T incision. The T is what I believe is my old belly button. This tissue is more inflammatory and responds differently to treatments than the surrounding skin and scar. An aesthetician recommended diluted kenalog injections with a conservative approach. Also recommended CO2 laser. Im wondering if excising the vertical strip of the T incision wouldnt ultimately be best for healing. appreciate any and all input!
