I have been using Retin a 0.05% for more than a month and recently my skins appear to have some melasma and redness like the result of sunburn although I use sunscreen every day. My skin looks so dark and the cheeks have some dark marks like hyper pigmentation. My acne has improved significantly but these side effects scare me a lot. Please help me. Will the erythema and hyperpigmentation disappear? What should I do to improve my the hyperpigmentation during the time using it? Thanks a lot.
ive been using adapalene for about 2.5 months. i dont see that much difference in my skin i used to have bad and mild breakouts but they calmed down. they calmed down more when i used adapalene by differen. anyways about a week ago i accidentally got it under my eyes, eye lid and corner of the eyes. now it burns and its red and its almost like it keeps growing. what should i do? please help because i dont want it to scar since its a noticeable area+ the dark eye bags i have. thank you
I was prescribed Retin-A about a year ago and not up until a few months ago I started noticing my skin getting red and my acne never got any better, it actually seemed to get worse. I can clearly see where i have been applying the Retin-A, as there is redness in the area on my face. where it is red on my skin there is more pimples and the places where I haven't applied the Retin-A there is no pimples and no redness. I stopped using the product for 2 weeks now and the redness is still there.
I'm using tretinoin cream for 2 days now. And I accidentally washed my face with facial scrub and my face sting, burning, redness, especially to my mustache area. And this morning still sting and redness still there. Please help me. Can I use tretinion cream tonight?
I am about on my second week of using epiduo, I recently just gradually starting to use it on a daily basis instead of every other day due to that I thought my skin would be able to handle it. As I was washing it off it became relly sensitive and it has cause a burning sensation that I couldn't bare. I would have my face in the freezer. Now I have this scaling/peeling effect on the bridge of my nose. I would exfoliate it with a cold rag and its gotten worse. It seems like it wont go away.
I use the Hydroquinone in the day and Tretinoin at night, is this the best method of application? The before picture was taken in a very lighted bathroom so it makes my skin look lighter, but it is only shown to show the dark patches were not as prevelant and in some areas not there. There are also sections of small bumps. What is happening to my face? Please help. Also what would be a good otc remedy for dark circles under my eyes? Thanks
I have been using Retin-A Micro 0.06% forover a month. I am 20y/o and always had good skin. Just the occasional pimple. I was prescribed this product to get rid of some (barely noticeable) pimples beneath the surface of my skin. Although this problem has been solved, my skin is now red, dry, and rough. I would like to know if this is normal and I should continue use or how I can restore the natural tone to my skin and rehydrate and smooth these rough spots. It is mainly below eyes. I feel ridges
I have a (very expensive) tube of Retin-A that expired about two months ago. When I use it, I don't get any peeling or redness, but I haven't been using it long enough to see any results either. Is it okay to keep using it? Do you think there's any active ingredient in it? How long can I keep using it after this point?
I started Tretinoin .05% for acne 2 months ago. I use every night now w/out moisturizer. I'm looking for a good daily moisturizer to use though. I don't experience a lot of dryness or flaking, but I do experience irritation/sensitivity (redness) and stinging. I tried Elavase Moisture Booster, but it stings and I noticed it contains fragrance - I was surprised to see so many doctors recommend a daily moisturizer that has fragrance in it - especially while using retin-a. Price isn't a concern.
