I am a 24 yr old. I have been taking 10mg Accutane and Androcur for 6 months (currently tapering off). I still have scarring and large pores which fill easily and bad texture. Out of everything I have researched I am considering starting RetinA for clogged pores and skin tone, and dermaroller for collagen production to fill in my pores. I am worried that retinA will make my pores appear larger and permanently damage my skin. Will these help? microdermabrasion last year made my skin much worse
I've read a lot about layering skincare this week and since around February (it's May now) I've been using tretinoin almost immediately after my Vitamin C serum. I haven't had irritation but I'm wondering if this combo caused some permanent damage in my skin? I read that it is advised to wait 30-40 minutes after applying Vitamin C. Also, would it be advisable to use AHA/BHA's in the morning, and tretinoin at night? Or AHA/BHA's twice a week and tretinoin for the days not using the acids?
I'm a 29 year old female and started using retin A when I was 28. I wasn't prescribed it from a dermatologist or doctor but after doing some extensive research I decided to purchase it from abroad. After about 3months using it I noticed I was getting more wrinkles, especially under my eyes and forehead. My pores become very large and my overall skin texture became like that of an orange peel. I stopped using it for about 3months and the damage did not reverse. Please, please help!!
I have recently taken on the task of taking better care of myself and I have noticed that I am very much in need of hygiene. I do not know if they are like this because of the dirt or some permanent damage. What professional treatments or skin care products do you recommend? I've heard that Retin-A is very good. I am patient and I am willing to wait for good results. Note: Ive oily skin, Im in my 23 and my skin is much whiter.
I'm 20, and I used generic Retin-A 0.05% cream on my eye area/eyelids nightly for a few weeks, and used SPF 15 when I went out. For about a week I would stay in the house all day and wait a few hours before washing the leftover Retin-A off my eyes (I wanted to maximize its effects). I was exposed to soft (not direct beams) of sunlight from windows/windows with closed blinds in the house. I never got sunburned at the time. I am now off the Retin-A. Did I permanently damage my eyelid skin?
