4 years ago I underwent a Pearl Laser treatment. The aesthetic doctor advised it was the best treatment for me. I expressed concerns regarding waxy bumps on my face which she could not diagnose, but said that the Pearl Laser would clear the condition. After a very expensive procedure,my pores are flattened and appear larger.Since then the bumps have been diagnosed as sebaceous hyperplasia. Pls can you advise on treatments that would help for both sebaceous hyperplasia and the condition of my skin.
I am a 40 year old women with moderate sun damage, some fine lines around the eyes & red marks/small indents on my cheeks from Acne. I have been told the Pearl (nonfractional) goes 100 microns deep into the skin vs 1000 microns for a Pearl Fractional, & that is the same depth as an IPL. Is this correct & if so, can I really expect better results from the Pearl (non-fractional) than an IPL? Can you tell me what to expect for the recovery period for the Pearl compared to the IPL and Fractional?
I have lines on my upper lip. They are not noticeable except in bright sunlight. The office where I inquired was cautious, but said they would do a mild Pearl laser resurfacing all over the face, and concentrate with higher settings on the upper lip area. Is it worth a try? Thanks.
I just had this done yesterday, and I was told to wash my face with Cepaphil 3 times a day, apply the vinegar soak with a washcloth, and then apply vaseline. That made sense until I tried it. Do I actually rub and completely cleanse the vaseline off every time? It takes a lot of rubbing to get all that vaseline off. Am I supposed to get it 100% clean or is that irritating my skin too much? Plus, how do I apply the vinegar soak afterwards? Do I simply soak a washcloth with the vinegar/water solution and then lay it on my face for a minute or two? Please help me understand these specifics. I've searched all over on line and my doctor's office is closed. I don't want to be washing and soaking the wrong way. Thanks so much.
I had this treatment a week ago, and although I am back at work, and wearing make-up, I'm still very red. My skin is not irritated or broken-out, just red. Can anyone tell me how long this should persist? How long is the TOTAL recovery time for the Pearl Fractional Laser?
