I keep thinking of the worse that can go wrong. Infection, blood clots and even death! I have three kids and I don't want to leave them behind but I really want to be comfortable in my own skin again. Am I over reacting? Is this normal? I am healthy but never went under general anesthesia. If I am allergic to the general anesthesia what do they do?
Today is post op day five after my tummy tuck, breast lift with implants. I am absolutely thrilled with the results so far! I have been doing lovenox shots - today is my last day- because I have a family history of blood clots. My question is while I am walking I am pretty hunched over and feel a little out breath. My binder feels so tight! Should I loosen my binder and see if that helps? I am completely comfortable sitting down with no breathing issues, again it is only while I am walking
My husband and I had an accident with a condom and I ended up with some sperm near my vagina. I am not ovulating but I'm still very nervous about getting pregnant. Can I take the plan b morning after pill one month before my surgery? I've read it can increase the risk of blood clots if taken too soon before. Is one month enough time for it to be out of my system before my tummy tuck and breast augmentation? Btw, my husband is getting a vasectomy next month. Thank you!
Is the risk for blood clots higher when you get your period during or right after surgery? Im expected to get my period two days after my surgery (tummy tuck, breast lift, and implants). I typically have two very heavy days of my cycle and Im afraid it willl cause clots or low blood iron.
Im interested in getting a tummy tuck and breast lift but am unsure if i will be approved. After my BBL in 2016 I was hospitalized for a blood clot in my arm, the cause was never determined and I have not had one since.
I always want to have a mommy makeover - tummy tuck and breast augmentation. However, I'm so scared of blood clot post surgery. And I have heard many stories about cardiac arrest that people die in the operation room. i want to know what patient and doctor should do to minimize these deadly risks?
Im considering getting a mommy makeover, but I have mild varicose veins. I have been to a vein specialist that ruled out clots. From time to time the veins do cause me pain after lifting weights. Would I even be a good candidate for a mommy makeover with my old varicose vein? With having varicose veins, does it put you more at risk for blood clots?
I have lost 100 lbs and now want a mommy makeover. I have had several consultations and only one doctor was agreeable to do the mommy makeover with my hx of blood clot (which we believe was caused by birth control). I am no longer on blood thinner since (2018). That doctor's office staff was horrible and I did not book the procedure with him. Is it possible to get a mommy makeover with my history outpatient?
I have been reading about some cases where people have developed blood clots after surgery. How long after surgery is the safe zone, where if you haven't developed a clot, you won't? Do a lot of people develop non life threatening clots after surgery? I am specifically inquiring about a tummy tuck/ breast lift surgery together.
