Had Mohs done 7 weeks ago. The side of my nose still is swollen, even outside the scar line. Is this swelling or a trapdoor scar? I asked about steroids at 4 weeks and the plastic surgeon said it would go down. I just dont feel like this is the case.
I am a 53 year old woman who got bcc on a spot in the corner of my forehead. When the bcc was removed it was about a half dollar size, and I was told not too deep. The doc cut me up vertically from the outer top of my eyebrow and over and then down the side of my face through the edge of my sideburn area to my ear. I had a very closed and bright purple black eye. Is it normal that 2 1/2 weeks later my upper eyelid is still very puffy and distorted...with a tiny bit of purple left? Thanks.
I had bcc on the temple and a forward advancement flap to move skin upward to cover it. Most of my scar is hidden in my hairline now. My right eye was very twisted up on the end during reconstruction......and extremely swollen and mis-shapen. 6 months later my eye is still really weird. Is this normal? Is this a lymph drainage issue? Will this correct itself in the next 6 months? Could leftover stitches material in my head be making me keep swelling? I hide behind glasses now. Thanks.
I got mohs surgery on my right temple 5 months ago. I got a forward advancement flap reconstruction. My right eye area was very very swollen for a long time. It is still somewhat swollen above my eyebrow. My upper eyelid is still very swollen as well. Not as bad as originally, of course, but still significantly after 5 months. Is this normal? Should I expect lymph glands to drain properly a few months from now and the swelling to go down? What could be wrong at this point? Thanks.
I had a basal cell carcinoma removed yesterday just above my right eyebrow. The wound was closed with 5 stiches. It is a little swollen but my right eyebrow is now about 1 centimetre above the left. Will this be permanent due to the stitches pulling the skin up or will it go back to normal? They look really odd and uneven as they are now.
I had MOHS done to basal cell that was just off of the left side nose. I have lot of stitches from upper side of nose down the natural seam to above the lip. The first day just a little swelling but this second morning after lett side of face is prertty swollen and even my upper lip which feel sort of numb is puffed up too. Is Saturday so Dr. offcie is closed but he is a MOHS fellowship and reconstruction surgeon. Is this swelling and numb lip normal and what can I do to help it. Ice?
