I've looked at alot of reviews for the Mixto Laser and the Fractional Co2 Laser both having good results. Just asking for some advice on which is better for wrinkles on the cheek(worse when smiling)? Thanks and God Bless
Can a series of clear and brilliant or fraxel dual give you the results of 1 ablative fractional laser done at more conservative settings for darker Fitzpatrick type IV skin tones? I would like to treat longstanding PIH from acne, and at home chemical peels. I have been told my shallow rolling acne scars need an ablative fractional laser and other derms say my scars are not severe enough to require the ablative laser.
I've been looking into the lunchtime buff and shine with the Mixto and was told downtime is around 3-5 days and the settings were: 5, 20%, 5. However, during my research, I keep seeing Dr. Sandra Lee's lunchtime buff and shine touted as something with zero downtime and she speaks about using the laser at 5%. I have been unable to find the settings she used or really anyone with such experience. Is this new way really no downtime? What are the settings?
I am getting the Mixto microfractional h20 resurfacing laser next month.... and the doctor has instructed me to begin prepping with retin-a and hydroquinone ( a bleaching agent) for 2-3 weeks before the treatment so that he would be able to perform the procedure more aggressively, hence better results. Is this right??.. I was always under thee impression that retin-a would thin the skin and is unadvisable before laser treatments or chemical peels. What should I do??.. should I start the creams?
I had the Mixto laser done on December 22, and I experienced nearly intolerable itching 2 days post-op, and it won't stop! Is this common or could it be a reaction to the Aquaphor or something else? I haven't read much about itching from others.
