I had an injury on my head, neck and left shoulder 2 decades ago. Since then, my left shoulder has bothered me and the area that was hit by a canec tile developed a lipoma. Can a lipoma be due to trauma? How can you tell if a lipoma is directly related to prior trauma? What kind of surgeon would you go to for removal of intramuscular and intermuscular lipoma involving the rhomboid muscle of the shoulder? The lipoma size is about 6-8 inches in diameter.
I have a 13 1/2 cm Lipoma on my left shoulder blade. I saw 2 dermatologists, it's too large and I don't feel safe removing it. I have seen 3 doctors, next referral to a general surgeon. I have gained some weight, it that what is causing these? In the past few months, I've noticed 2 more growing, one on each side of my neck....if I lost some weight (20) lbs, will they get smaller?
Hello, I have a lipoma that is located in between my back, between my shoulders near my spine (please see photo attached) its about 8x5cm nogel. Does removing the lipoma that size cause any damage to my nerves or trigger any other issues once its removed? Also, is it better to be under general anesthesia or local anesthesia. I ask because, two separate doctors have their opinion on how to do the procedure under those two anesthesia. Im so nervous... Thank you!
I am a 25 year old female, I've had this lipona bump for about 10 years now but has grown significantly in the last 4. Its starting to get in the way of daily activity (lifting arm over hear, shaving left armpit, sharp neck pain) I have health insurance but no primary care doctor and was wondering if I can go to urgent care to get this removed.
