I have had 5 -6 IPL treatment on my legs. The machine was turned up high enough for me to receive some burns. I also had a technician try Bbl, pico, a machine that removes tattoos. She tried several spots and nothing happened on my legs. I also use hydroquinone which helps a little. The BBL/IPL worked great in one treatment on my arms and chest. Surely in this day and time there is something that can be used for these spots on the legs.
I have had lights for rosacea as way to treat that and creams. It improved a little bit but the red round is still there on the righ cheek. Just a simple touch with the fingers and it gets worse
I have rosacea on the side of my nose. I had a laser treatment to remove the veins. The first 2 times I did the laser treatment, I had no problems. The last time I did it, my skin burned and scabbed over, now under my skin looks black. It's been 10 days and no improvement on the discoloration. I have fair skin. What can I do? Could this be blood coagulation under my skin?

Can thermal damage to the skin from a laser treatment cause side effects like moderate burning and itching feelings on skin, sensitivity in affected tissue, and can it be controlled or minimized? I have consistently seen dermatology terms such as skin threshold, fluence, and bulk heating. How would these relate? if at all. Thanks for reading and hope you can help.
