I had a facial laser 6 months ago and I still have a horrible round redness burn. What to do?

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. There are a few treatment options for redness from rosacea but often times, results are only temporary. A couple prescription creams are available to help temporarily decrease redness to the skin for 8-10 hours, but the redness will return once the medication effects stop. Laser treatments are effective in decreasing redness after multiple treatments, however, results are temporary but last longer than topical treatment.
