I had laser hair removal professionally done. During the pandemic, I had purchased an at home laser for the few pesky hairs that I was still trying to get rid of. About 1 year ago, the laser accidentally slipped out of my grip & I burned the outside of my labia. I didn't notice until showering, that the area had turned completely white. The skin has healed but remains white. It is mostly smooth but also slightly rough. Is there anything I can do to help with the discoloration.
2 days back, I had my 1st session of laser treatment. Till now, I have just used wax to remove hair and that always led to smooth skin as the hair used to get removed from root. But, during laser treatment, they shave the area and it breaks the hair from the surface. And so it gives roughness in that area. Would it persist till end? Or would it get smooth as the sessions pass by?
I'm 23 year old.. Recently 2 day before I have done the facial hair laser treatment by my dermatologist.. But hair can regrow in small amount... Does any benefits by laser or not... Does my skin become rough?? And can hair will regrow after completing the treatment??
I got my 3rd ipl hair removal almost 3 weeks ago;and developed a red bumpy itchy rash all over my legs that were treated. Now the itchiness has calmed down, but I am left with very rough skin, and full of ugly red spots. Ive been religiously applying aloe vera gel to my legs, but it doesnt seem to help much. im afraid that the red dots will stay there permanently. is there anything i can do to improve this? Is this a normal reaction after ipl hair removal?
I recently had hair removal laser on my knee and thighs and it left red patches. Doesnt look like burns but extremely itchy. What is it? It has been 7 days. And the red has grown darker and rough to touch. I took antihistamin pills for the itch and applied a hydrocortisone type cream on it.
I've had about 10 sessions of laser hair removal on my legs, bikini and underarms. My last session was about 8 weeks ago. I've noticed a few weeks ago my thighs had red, itchy bumps on them but I figured they would just go away. Well a month later they are still there along with the feeling of rough bumpy skin. This is only on my thigh area. Some of the red bumps look like they have a hair in them. I never had in grown hairs before. What is this and how can I treat it? Is this normal? Thank you!
Hello, I just recently went through my 11th session for laser hair removal 2 days ago. This time, we decided to go 2 J higher than usual, and she decided to pass over the area two times. My upper lip was red and stiff for about 4 hours after the treatment. However since then, it feels dry and there are patches of rough skin when I run my finger over the area. This has never happened before. Did she burn my upper lip?
