LANAP Laser Periodontal Therapy Q&A

Due to erosive OLP, I've begun to see the roots of my back teeth exposed. My insurance co. would only consider covering GTR / Rejuvagum if I first did root scaling and planing (RS/P). I hesitate to do so because my gums are delicate / sensitive (& RS/P seems meant for erosion due to periodontal disease, not an autoimmune condition). Can I, or should I do GTR or LANAP therapy without it? Or Lanap therapy instead of RS/P? (And finally, would using lasers on my gums be a bad idea?)

My goal as a patient is to reduce sulcus depth. No dentist will recommend either procedure if he does not have the equipment to begin with. Thanks.

Can I expect better results vs. other methods?

I just wanted to know if irrigation with 3% hydrogen peroxide diluted with water (1:1) is best practice for the initial phase of treatment over chlorhexidine? What are people using which is most effective? Thanks

A dentist I contacted in Turkey suggested that I can have Pinhole/ GTR surgery, 2 weeks after LANAP. I am sceptical as from my research bone keeps growing for months to a year after LANAP? Can I have Pinhole surgery before the bone growth stabilises? But I do want to also fix my receding gum line asap, so please advise on what's the soonest possible timeline to have both?
