Can Invisalign work with gum recession + high canine? (Photo)

Hi, I’m looking for professional opinions while I wait for orthodontic consultations. I previously had fixed retainers after orthodontic treatment many years ago. Over the last couple of years, my upper canine has gradually shifted upward and out of alignment, likely due to issues with the retainer. At the same time, I have developed noticeable gum recession on the lateral incisor next to the canine, with some visible root exposure. The recession seems to be mainly on that tooth rather than on the canine itself. I recently had a dental exam and was told that: - My gums are otherwise healthy - There is no active periodontal disease or inflammation - The teeth are stable and not loose - The problem appears to be mechanical/positional rather than due to gum disease. My dentist recommended orthodontic treatment to correct the tooth position and prevent the recession from getting worse. My main concerns are: 1. Does the existing gum recession make me a poor candidate for Invisalign? 2. Is a canine that has moved this far out of position typically manageable with Invisalign, or would traditional braces be more appropriate? 3. Would gum grafting usually be recommended before, after, or possibly not at all in a case like this? Any guidance on whether Invisalign could be a reasonable option in this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
