I had my HT on 5/1/18 and 3 months after the procedure I started having this weird sensation on the recipient area only. On the right side it feels like needles and in the center of the head tingling burning sensation and it gets worst when I am driving, my HT surgeon said it will get better with the time and he his surprise that this is happening. I am going through neurologist and he is treating me with nerve medicine which is not helping much he also did MRI and it came out normal it didnt show any nerve damaged. My GP thinks small nerves are hard to see in the MRI and he thinks those nerves were cut and they are not growing and that is causing all of this pain. this HT has made me handicap I am not able to do anything at all this moving sensation on the head is all the time. Its scary its painful and it feels like my head is going to blow when I place my hand on the head it relaxes it or if I itch it relax I also saw dermatologist and she said skin is fine.please help if you know what is causing this.
I saw on forums, that the follicle can fall due to the regular cell cycle? What does it mean? The grafted follicles can acquire other properties like the non-transplanted grafts that is sensitive to the DHT hormone and can fall?
Im 27. Had 2355 grafts in my frontal hairline done last sept 2017 by a reputed doctor. Transplant result is very poor; less than 100 hairs grew. (used the back of my scalp as donor) One of the issues: My Sides and Back are sensitive! Anywhere on my sides and back if the barber rubs too hard with the clippers, I tend to lose hair in that area. This makes me feel that my scalp is not a good donor source. Is using beard donor a better option in my case? Body Hair? I doubt FUT miraculously works?
I have pinching feeling on the recipient and it feels like it has swelling in the recipient area and it moves time to time. Feels scary.heavness. And it gets worse by watching tv or sitting on front of laptop. Only water helps if I wash my head its feels better but otherwise living life in hell since the transplant. My surgeon thinks nerves are waking up but I am so scared its been 50 days is this normal?
i m planning to ha hair transplant. wanted to know that is it ok to shampoo daily after transplant ( I have oily hairs). Will my scalp be more sensitive that excessive shampooing should be avoided?? will I go bald early or more severely if I shampoo daily to avoid oil and dandruff had I not shampooed daily????
I got my HTP done a little over 3 weeks ago, however, the donor area at the back of my head is still quite sensitive to the touch. I don't notice it during the day when I'm at work, but at night time when I'm in bed I notice it when my head is on my pillow. It's not very painful, it's just sensitive to the touch and I sleep without a problem. Professional opinions welcome, Thanks
It's been 2nd month that I've completed my hair transplant, but I still see the scalp color difference between the transplanted area and non-transplanted area. I feel the transplanted area is shiny and little up to the other surface and little sensitive than other area - is it expected ?
