I am interested in a hair transplant, but I had shingles 4.5 years ago with a rash on my neck and scalp, exactly in the donor area. This resulted in postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), causing pain and a burning sensation. Haircuts and wearing a hat were painful due to allodynia. Over the last year and a half, the pain has mostly disappeared, but occasional flashes of pain indicate the area is not fully healed. Can I consider a hair transplant, or is there a risk the pain could return or worsen?
I went from naturally dark hair to Blonde in September of 2021. During the process I recognized that my scalp was burning. After I loved the result. I had Blonde hair. I waited until September of 2022 to have my hair done again as my roots significantly grew out. During the process my scalp began to burn again. In December of 2022 I had my roots done again and the stylist put lightner on my hair again. It did not burn as much. I now noticed that I have a bald spot. Help!
I recently had a hair transplant (5300 grafts) DHI from turkey. I was told by the dr that you'll hardly have any pain after the procedure but 5 days post op I'm having a really bad pain (stinging and burning sensation) in my donor area...which is not letting me even sleep...i asked the doctors over there in Turkey....they said its normal it will subside by the time...but its been five days and the pain is not subsiding I take 3-4 pain killers as prescribed by them which gives me a little relief
I am 4 Months post my hair transplant I have been applying Minoxidil since last 3 months, I use the 5% these days. But I had a bottle left of 2% left with me so I thought of using it, So I applied it on my transplanted area. Today when I applied it, I think I over applied it, it gave me a very burning and stinging sensation on the scalp where I applied it. I am getting worried ! Could it have damaged my hair grafts which are about to grow. Would it have killed my transplanted hair grafts ?
Hello. I currently am under a hair loss dermatologists care and taking oral minoxidil and Spironolactone. I most likely will have a transplant performed for the loss on the front top portion soon. My concern is I have been experiencing a burning sensation in that area where the most significant hair loss is and more shedding than normal as well. What good will it do to have a transplant performed when I still get these occasional flare ups? What can be causing the slight burning feeling?
Hello , i was told that i could use any shampoo after 12 days post op. I put sebamed anti hairloss shampoo without massaging it and rinse my head. mmediately after that i got burning sensation on my skin and there was readness which all gone after 20-30 minutes like stated in the instructions. Fallowing days i switched to sebamed everyday wihtout any problem. i might be getting a little bit paranoid but my concern is that Sebamed Anti Hairloss shampoo could have done any harm to my grafts ?.
