I am a beauty therapist trained in Murad skincare. I performed a Murad rapid exfoliator maximum strength (glycolic peel) on myself and within 3 minutes my cheeks became red and burnt. The rest of my face was fine. I removed it using cold gauzes. My skin was fine with the Regular Strength and I have preformed the Max peel on myself before. I am using ice, aloe Vera and savlon on the burnt areas. How long will it take to heal?
I had a 25% mandelic acid peel. Used before. I forgot I used salicylicacid serum 2% morning of on problem areas near chin- those are the areas visibly irritated. During peel patches looked white, thickened, and raised. After rinse skin was still white. It later turned red and I put aloe vera + occlusive before bed. Photos 12 hr post peel. Areas are sensitive and dark not bright red, smooth. I alternate tretinoin cream and AHA serum nightly. I have L-ascorbic based Vit C, can this help/irritate? Will I have patches?
I am using glycolic acid 10% pads by loreal nightly as instructed. I do not get a tingle feeling, i do not know if it is working, it has been 6days. I have had this problem on my face for over a year, they are smooth flat red spots! Anything i can buy! I have tried salycilic acid 2% face wash, whitening mask exfoliant, 2x sulfur,1%hydrocortisone cream. Aloe vera gel seemed to work then after a period of time stopped.
The glycolic peel 40% was left for 5 minutes. Only this spot experienced redness (there was a pimple and it was treated with Retin-A one day before the peel). The red mark was painful and tender on the first day. Today it's no longer painful. I've been applying moisturizer, aloe vera and vitamin e oil on the spot everyday. Please tell me if this is going to be a permanent scar? Please help! And what else should I do to prevent scarring? Thank you so much.. Asian skin (fair) here.
I am a dark skin woman who has black scabs from glycolic peel and microderm treatment on my cheek. I was told to use aloe and keep it moisturized also stay away from sunlight. I also was told an enzyme mask or microderm with very low suction would help get rid of the scabs is this true? And I should add a week before this treatment I had a 20% salicylic which I did fine with. I am also worried about hypopigmentation . Thanks
