My highest weight wast 231lbs. Same as surgery weight. I lost 13lbs in a month after surgery. Gained 2. 1 week later lost those 2lbs. Nearly 3 weeks now and nothings happening. I track my food daily getting 500-700 cals in a day. Mostly protein. (no beef or pork) 1 premier protein drink, under 20g of carbs. Havent had any junk foods. When I snack its light string cheese or a protein shake. I pretty much eat eggs, meats and cheese. Not to fond of sweets. What do I need to do?
I had vsg 10/3/18 and Im 52. SW 207 CW 186. I track macros everyday, eat 700-850 calories a day, 35 carbs or less a day, and always aim for 60-80 grams of protein a day. I eat 3 meals/day and drink a protein shake to hit 60 grams of protein a day if needed. I know with the sleeve you lose weight slower than bypass, and since I started out barely qualifying for surgery its going to be even slower. But how fast/how much weight should I be losing? I think I stalled, but I think thats normal?
i'm almost 9 weeks post VSG, i lost about 33 pounds (i feel like it should be way more), and my weight has been stalled for about a week now. My doctor told me to eat anything i want up to 6 small meals per day, but i read that i should eat a certain kind of food and not every thing is allowed, i feel like every thing i'm doing is wrong!!, so can somebody help me and tell me what should i eat at this stage and what is the proper diet for me now??
Hello, I am 7 weeks out - post gastric sleeve procedure. Initially I lost about 30 lbs; however, I have not been losing any weight since. I am now on normal type food -but eat very little. I also have joined a gym recently and partake in spin class and yoga x3 a week. My question is why has my weight loss lagged? I take my vitamins and protein with very little carb intake. Any helpful hints would be appreciated. Thanks
I try to follow the diet rigidly but as a result of the nausea I struggle to eat anything other than potato, even sipping drink is hard. I try to eat meat & veg but it just doesn't go down well so it's just varying types of potato. Understandably I'm not really loosing much weight which is frustrating to say the least. I have tried going back to blended food but it doesn't seem to help. On a plus the diarrhoea stopped at week 5!
(my weight loss has been slow like this since day one). I follow all dietary and exercise guidelines from my doctor's. Possible reasons for poor weight loss results? How can I improve the situation? I eat a protein rich, low carb diet, calories under 800 per day. water ,over 100oz per day and my protein ranges from 60-85g per day. 6 out of 7 days I treadmill -speed of 3 miles per hour keeping my heart rate 123-150 bpm. MY STATS: high weight-332.7 , surgery weight 312.6, current weight 287.1lbs
I am 41 years old female. My height is 150 cm. I was about 100 kg when I had sleeve gastroctomy. I lost 9 kg by day 9 after surgery. Now after 8 weeks my weight became 86kg. Is it normal? I still eat few bites of small quantities. I dont eat sweets nor white sugar. However, what makes me worried os when I hear people say they lost between 20 and 25 kg within the first 2 months. Please I need to know. Note:I suffer from costipation.
I was speaking to another patient who is 5 months out from her gastric sleeve. She told me she can only eat 3 to 4 bites. I am concerned that I have already stretched out my stomach. I tried 1/2 of a wrap and threw up because it did not want to stay down. Is eating a medium size slice of pizza or one enchilada beyond what my new stomach should be able to handle at almost 8 weeks out? I am fearful of undoing what I had done. Just trying to understand the new norm. Thank you.
