I had a single implant done 3yrs ago and for the last 3 months I have had a horrible smell at the gumline. I have excellent oral hygiene and see a hygienist every 6 months . I also saw a dentist to get it looked at and xray showed no infection. I dont know what else to do. Any advice would be so helpful .
I am 65 160 pounds in good health. I went to my dentist because a tooth number 18 was moving. The doctor said come in he would pop the tooth off and tighten the implant then put the tooth back on. When he removed it . There was a really back smell. When I asked him about the smell he said the was normal. Is it ? I brush and use mouth wash two times a day.
I had an implant done with some bone grafting. Been taking my antibiotics and doing mouthwash everyday but I don't like the way this looks. I don't have any pain either, just want to make sure I'm healing properly.
Did a Dental implant 2.5months back and everything seem to be fine until recently. My implant tooth give off a foul smell causing my breath to smell bad. One side of my gum looks like its shrinking and a little swollen. There isnt any discomfort except for the smell thats giving off from that particular tooth. Due to I am pregnant now my dentist advice me to just gaggle with salt water as theres nothing much beside antibiotic which could help.
I had an implant 11 years ago which came loose last year I had this replaced and after a week came loose again I went back and had this faulty one replaced which is now stable and has been for 2 months but it smells and I get a bad taste when move my tounge around it . My dentis says that the implant needs to be replaced as he now thinks it is fractured
the area were the stitches are has a bad smell i also have stitching at the root of my mouth with a white seal feeling thing. i guess its supporting the front tooth that got replaced. this smell or taste wont go away how long with this take to heal? the are by the stitching isn't inflammed or hurting or has any bumps it;s just a bit greyish. is this because the gum flesh is dead?, a wet scab or is this apart of healing
Had a back molar implant done by a dual certified perio and prosodonti st waited the appropriate amount of time then placed the crown on 2 months ago.i noticed some discomfort when eating I also noticed very slight movement from the crown.when I went to see him once he removed the cement covering the screw and removed the cotton inside there was a over powering foul odor. I asked if it was infected he said no and that it was quite normal to have that smell.is this true?
