I have an overbite and a recessed chin. Because I also have a narrow palate, Damon braces are my first consideration. The issue however is that I have a long chin and dont know if fixing my overbite would even be worth it.I also have a wide jaw, and was wondering if expanding my palate as much as these braces would be capable of would make my face wider. Judging from this picture alone, Wouldyou say my overbite is severe? And would Damon braces widen my face, not just my palate?
So I had braces already as a child, and do still wear my retainers so my teeth are aligned ok. But my issue is with my overall arch, the arch is pretty narrow when compared to my overall smile. I have fairly large buccal corridors, and would love to have something done to widen my smile so that more teeth occupy the front of my mouth. What are the best options that exist? Ive been to orthodontists that tell me I dont need anything and to live with it :/, so not sure what to do or ask for.
I have overjet class 2 my orthodontist prescribed me extraction of 4 premolars but I don't want to, no space in my mouth. I'm afraid of facial changes. Are Damon braces going to work on them without extraction?
I had braces, headgear, everything as a teen, then fast braces with IPR at 25. Fast braces and IPR narrowed my arches and my bite is now 1.5 teeth off from where it should be from IPR and unresolved overjet (told by orthodontist). I'm considering Damon and Invisalign per two orthodontists' recommendations. Which one is really the best for widening arches? Will widening arches cause my front teeth/upper arch to sink in (don't want! One orthodontist warned me on this)? Thank you in advance!
I just want to no that is really what my ortho have said to me that I can't correct my teeth problems ( overbit, crossbit, front teeth crowding ) without damon system, unless I extract 4 teeth, I have consulted another orthodontic and asked him about damon system, he told me that I had to trust him that damon system is just a marketing tool, and so we have proceeded in the treatment until he told me that I will need teeth to be extracted! And that is not an option for me, I can't live with another face!
I've had traditional braces in the past which I had taken of in 2014, I haven't since worn my plastic retainer. My fault, I know. Which is why I'm seeking treatment again! I have found an ortho who claims he can take my teeth from a C to an A*and correct all issues I've described that he diagnosed in a consultation. I'm trying to get all the advice I can before going ahead with treatment as it's very expensive. I want what he claims he can do. Is it possible? Thanks in advance.
