It has been two weeks since my Cosmelan peel. I have pretty thick and un-sensitive skin which is great for harsher treatments. However, I would rather be safe than sorry. I was told two weeks after my peel is sufficient to start the other treatments but I was also told 6-8 weeks by my old practice. Can someone advise? Thanks!!!!
The areas where there is a lot of melasma didn't peel much. I want to redo the Cosmelan Mask 1 before winter ends, its been 8 weeks since first treatment and I am still doing Cosmelan 2. Does there need to be a break in between treatments as the skin might have become used to the product? Or, will my skin become too sensitive?
as said above, my face cleared up and looked pretty good around 6-8 days after cosmelan 1 but my dermatologist told me to apply cosmelan 2 one week after the initial treatment (to be applied bedtime only on Tu,Th,Sat,Sun since she prescribed differin to be applied the other days). now my face is peeling again (around the chin & nose/smile lines). will it peel for as long as i use cosmelan 2? also, do i avoid putting cosmelan 2 on the peeling/reddish parts of my skin or is it perfectly safe?
I'm coming up with the widest range of recommendations from doctors between 4-10 hours. That's a tremendous discrepancy! Some insist 4 hours is enough time of action; others (plus patients) have said 4 hours is worthless and needs to be a minimum of 8 hours. What is the official directive from Mesoesthetic for Fitzpatrick type II? Thank you!
It has been a full month since the doctor had applied the mask on my face for over 10 hours. I am looking forward to see the optimal results with melasma therefore heading for a second procedure with cosmelan mask. Is it safe to continue with the second procedure after a month? Will my skin become more sensitive under the exposure of sun? Please let me know asap. Thanks
Ive used the Cosmelan Peel, as well as the Cosmelan 2 as a stand alone treatment for melasma in the past with great success. I recently did fractional co2 lasering of my entire face and neck and Im curious when I may use Cosmelan 2 again. My provider was not intimately familiar with Cosmelan when asked
