I am trying to determine if getting a chemical peel would be best suited for me or if I should just use a different Kojic acid then the one I used... You see, I used Kojic acid soap called Kojie San, and I eventually ended up with an allergic reaction where my skin even marbled. But I have heard that fermented rice water sake lotions from Japan are different/safer from the Kojic in soaps, is that true?? I am hesitant to try anything Kojic now also I am allergic to Penicillin and Koji is a mold.
I got hyper pigmentation after chemical peeling .. it wasnt too much brown patches but it really get me annoyed.. My dermatologist gave me a formula of Hydroquinone 8% Kojic acid 4 % Tretinoin 0.1% And he told me to use this formula on the darker patches just before bedtime. And to use skinceuticals vitamin c & e in the daytime + sunscreen. I have used this formula 3 days and the patches are very irritated so i stopped using it for 2 days till now. Photos attached.
I am 34, Indian skin and have some post acne pigmentation on my cheek. One or two slight pit/scars too. I bought Cosderma peel containing combination of kojic acid 10%, glycolic acid 15% and lactic acid 20%. I had put it on for 1 min only once and washed with cold water and put on witch hazel toner, vit E gel moisturiser later but had slight raised roughness near nose fold (now become much better in 4 days). Should i dilute the peel for use after 1 week ? Should i use it again? Please advise.
I went through a kojic acid peel, but later i got a sunburn and a tan too. After the sunburn settled that area got dark and i guess it's melasma. Will another kojic peel get rid of this dark patches and tan? It's been dark since a month now.
