I had 350 cc saline implants dual plane. I am prone to sinus infections due to allergies. How concerned should I be about developing capsular contracture? How often does it occur? I take Singulair daily for asthma/allergies.
Im 4 days post op and discovered this blister looking thing by the incision site. I feel like it is way to early for any detection of keloid scarring, but could I be wrong? Help identifying is much appreciated. Patient history: 24 year old Caucasian female, primary breast augmentation, 445cc placed sub-muscular through inframammary fold, presents no history of keloid scaring, no known allergies
My metal allergies cause contact dermatitis and also SCD and last for months at a time. What risks are involved with this type of allergy and breast implants? I also have severe allergy to lanolin and propylene glycol just in case there's a possibility I may come into contact with those ingredients.
Hello, I had breast implants done in May 2014. In December of that same year I started developing hives. I have never had hives or allergies to anything in my life and even though I have had diabetes since I was 19 years old, I have lived a fairly healthy life. It is now February and the hives have pretty much taken over my life. I can't function. I can't sleep. I am at my wits end. Please help!!! Could I be allergic to the silicone implants?
I am a medical professional and have discovered allergies to several things that prevent me from wearing many medical gloves. On the TRUE test, I reacted to Carba-Mix, and can only wear select vinyl gloves without issue. Not a Latex or Nitrile allergy, just this common accelerator group additive. It is possible that something similar is in the shell of implants? Do manufacturers offer specifics on the content of the shells?
