I had a botched BA 8 yrs ago. Implant immediately removed but capsule in and left w/ window shading. Explained this to new PS and assured could be fixed. New BA above muscle. Only repair was about 3 in. Inferior dissolvable stitches. Can feel implants moving under skin. Implants sliding towards armpits and medial skin tenting. The whole border of skin is loose. Concerns that the inferior stitching wont hold for long. Can the lateral/inferior/medial border be secured w/ perm stitching?
I went to my 4 week check a few days early as I was still experiencing pain when the nurse checked my she found that none of my stitches had dissolved she had to take them all out and one side and having to put an iodine strips on and dress every day! Will it be ok the nurse told me not to worry but I'm very swore and keep having time off work. Lucy
Ive recently got my stitches re done due to it splitting. However, from the very beginning of my post op I realised my left boob was slightly higher and more swollen than my right one. Its now coming up to 4 weeks post op and its still slightly higher and fuller compared to the right one but have no pain at all. Is this normal? Ive been reading about capsular contraction and havent found anything about early symptoms. Should I be worried?
I can still feel stitches in a few places under the skin of my breast .How rare is that? Should this give me a cause for concern? Is there still a chance it will dissolve? If not, what course of action is there for me? Do they need to be surgically removed? It's been 16 months from my surgery.
Iam 10 weeks post opp breast augmentation and tummy tuck. Under my breast along the incision line there are a few hard lumps that hurt when I wear a bra or oush on them. Are they stitches poping through and will they go away??
I initially posted this question but didnt specify that I meant internal bra and not the outer bra worn post breast augmentation. One doctor I consulted with said he does internal bra stitches with slow dissolve stitches that last up to 10 years with all his breast augmentations. I guess this is supposed to help with keeping them in place/preventing bottoming out or something along those lines. I didnt fully understand.
I am 5 weeks post op from my breast augmentation, and while putting on lotion, I pulled on what I thought was a very loose, flakey scab around my incision. Turns out I removed a 1-inch clear suture! Do I need to be concerned about infection at this point? I examined my breast in the mirror and my incision has the finest, tiniest hole but Im not sure how deep it goes. Agh! Do I need to go in ASAP or is this something that will heal up quickly?
During my 1 week post op, a nurse assited me and took out my sutures/stitches. I was unaware one was left in (i know she was working on that same side for a long time and maybe it wouldnt come out) until i got home and showered. Now it's a little bothersome when i wash it or go to put ointment on my incision. Should i go in and take it out or wait 3weeks till my next post-op appointment?
I had my breast augmentation done on April 16th. I saw my plastic surgeon for 2nd post op April 27th to remove stitches. I noticed in those last few days sometimes I felt like a milk letdown. On April 28th, after intercourse, a few drops of milk came out of my right breast, the more tender one. I stopped breastfeeding July 14th and full dried up by October. Is this normal? I tried calling and leaving messages with my plastic surgeon but have yet to hear back from him.
