My jaw is also not aligned. How it can be fixed? I'm planning to get traditional braces(metals) hoping it would fix my problem. This makes me to have low confidence and I'm 26 years old. First, I was concerned on my crooked teeth then now i noticed a lot. Misaligned jaw and then underbite.
Hi docs, i was wondering if theres any way i can shorten the length of my long face non surgically? I have a bad open bite situation as well. I was also considering a full braces treatment with expanders and a face mask. Would that help shorten my face length as well? Please help, thanks!
I suffer from an overbite and crowding teeth on the bottom. My bottom jaw is also recessive and small. It creates a profile that lacks a jaw line and makes my face look long and narrow. Will braces alone correct this? I'm hoping for more of a jaw line and chin. Along with fixing my narrow long face. My face also seems to be a little crooked. Am I too old for appliances to expand my lower jaw? Would I need premolar extraction and how will that change my face?
I had braces for about 3 years to correct a lot of problems. The most stubborn of which was my open bite, which was never fully corrected. My orthodontist recommended jaw surgery but at the time my insurance wouldn't cover it. Now my insurance will cover it selectively. Long face syndrome seems to be the closest thing I can find to my problems. Do I look like I have it? Am I a good candidate for a jaw surgery?
Hi. I have long face and I have braces right now. I'm wondering, do I still need expander for my jaws to be fixed? The other dentist I asked said I need expander in order to fix my long face but my dentist said I don't need expander anymore 'cause braces will fix it. Is it true that I won't be needing it anymore? I really want to fix my jawline.
A couple years ago I had adult braces to improve a class 2 occlusion and moderate deep bite, but since treatment I've been very unhappy with the appearance of my face and smile. Is there any way to fix these issues? My ortho claims it's not reversible but I hate the changes. I've been trying to get used to them for a couple years now without success. Before braces, I was happy with my appearance and function but had some early wear on my teeth (I was not using a mouthguard).
