Hi, 3 months ago I had my second Botox treatment for bruxism. 4 weeks after I went back to evaluate, and the doctor added some more. The same night I noticed the left corner of my mouth was frozen, and since then I have not been able to curve the corner of my mouth when I smile. My doctor said the Botox probably migrated to the risorius muscle, but that it is weird that I saw an effect on my smile the same day. Does this mean something else is causing the crooked smile, such as a damaged nerv?
I hope someone can help me. I got botox for bunny lines 2-3 units on each side. Very minimal. Everything was fine but two weeks later my smile started to droop. That was 8 months ago and my smile is still crooked with no signs of improvement. Could I potentially have nerve damage? Also, when using a microcurrent device, that side of my face is not as reactive as the other side. Thank you for your time.
I had Botox in the upper half of my face. The first round was severely painful. The stinging I expected, what worried me was the headache that increased with every shot. I probably had 10 shots altogether and by the last one my brain was violently throbbing! It felt like the injection was taking up space in my skull causing a pressure headache (I know it cant be that). I also had nerves reacting with every forehead injection not the needle, the serum. Dr was dismissive, said normal. Its not!
Ive had botox 3 times in total. This time, in March, the injector injected a tiny amount under my eye (near tear duct I believe), which resulted in huge eye bags. In total, this took 5/6 month to wear off. It was a hideous journey. When I look down, there is still a bag line under 1 eye. Any ideas why this is still there? Is there nerve damage? Thank you
I had botox in my chin 2 years ago. I felt a sharp pain at the point I of injection near my left mandible nerve. About 4-5 months after injection I noticed it impacted my bottom lip. The left side of my lip appears to poke out when I talk and smile. When I smile without talking, the left side does not pull down as far as the right but prior to the botox injection it did. My smile is now crooked. I am assuming my nerve was damaged. Is there anything that can be done to correct the problem?
I had Botox in my forehead crows feet and chin in dec of 2022. I have always liked my natural cheek bones, until now :( I noticed my face start to lose my normal natural detention in my cheekbones by March of 2022... could Botox have caused this? As well as asymmetrical dropping. My nurse injector said no but I feel like it could have caused it. I didn't noticed the uneven droop, and loss of detention in my cheekbones until mid March.
I got Botox for my 11 lines and as soon as it was injected I had a sharp pain run down my nose that disappeared after a few minutes. I had a severe headache for over a week after. My left eye was heavier than my right after and I didn't feel good. It wasn't majorly noticeable so I left it because I wasn't feeling good. Recently I've had numbness/in my swelling feeling in the back of my tongue and throat. Is it possible that the Botox travelled and I have nerve damage?
I got botox in my chin about 5 months ago and it impacted my bottom lip. The right side of my lip appears to poke out when I talk or smile. When I smile the right side is positioned further downwards than the left. Its not straight. Kind of looks like the right side is being pulled by an invisible thread. If botox was causing the issue, the effects shouldve dissolved by now. Is it possible the injector hit a nerve or something and permanently damaged my lip?
I underwent Accutite for my jowls along with Morpheus on my lower face/neck. For 6 weeks I was left with the inability to properly move my upper right lip when puckered or pronounced O and P words. It is slowly improving but I am now experiencing assymmetry. There is a dimple forming and my nasal labial fold is higher on the paralyzed side. I can also still feel some tenderness next to my nose. My right nostril doesnt flare the same as the left. Ive done a round of steroids. Whats next?
I had 4 units of Botox to my depressor angularus for marionette lines and at same time the doctor was doing facial mesotherapy treatments and 3 days later my smile was crooked and I can barely laugh It only shows when smiling and its been 7 months now and I notice its still crooked when smiling. I have not had anymore mesotherapy or botox injections since but still cant smile normally. Could it be nerve damage from a needle? Botox usually wears off within 4-5 months
