I had an arm lift two weeks ago. I went in to the doctor two days after the procedure. That morning my forearm started to hurt. After they removed my ace bandages my pain increased. I had this pain for 10 hours before it went away. Now the outside and bottom of my arm feel numb. When I set my arm on anything it feels weird and fat. There is also tingling near my wrist. If I stretch my arm or lift it I feel tingles into my forearm. My armpit is really tight. What can I do?
I am now 6 weeks post op, I had lipo in my upper arms and an arm lift with the incisions being in my underarm. I am still feeling uncomfortable numbness in both arms, one more than the other. I am still wearing my compression garment because whenever i take it off the numbness gets worse and I feel like my arms are huge. Is it okay to keep wearing the compression garment for more than 6 weeks? And what can I do to reduce the numbness?
Hi, I had revision scar surgery and Lipo on 05/08/18 on my arms. My left arm has a hard lump, numbness and hurts. It's been 3 weeks now and my left arm is hard as rock. Please give me some insight. Is this normal?
Severe pain and swelling in right forearm, called superficial phlebitis by surgeon, NOT resolving since May 11. 2017. Milder case on left arm.I am terrified this will be permanent in my right arm and I will have this pain and disfigurement of a swollen forearm when goal was arm reduction. Plus my forearms were always slender! My upper arm incision on right feels very tight, forearm always hurts, worse with any activity. Surgeon recommend no compression, still has not. I am afraid of permanence !
I'm 15 days post-op from a brachioplasty. I'm experiencing deep numbness in the lower part of my left forearm; from the elbow to a few inches short of the wrist. My incisions go from my armpit to my elbow. No incisions on the forearm. I had the procedure to excise skin after massive weight loss. I'm concerned that the numbness will not go away. Am I worrying too soon? Is there anything I can do? Are there Neurologists who can treat sensory nerve damage?
I had brachyplasty 11 months ago under local anesthesia. During the procedure there were 2 to 3 times on each arm that the nerve was involved because I had seconds of severe sharp pain down to my pinky and my fingers trembled. Lasted seconds while he was cauterizing away the skin. Is it normal to still have almost complete numbness in back of oe arm area of about 3 inches from elbow above. The other arm has slight decreased sensation but not numbness like the left arm. Also is this permanent?
I am 4 months post from my arm reduction. The scar line and surrounding tissue has been numb until about two weeks ago. Now I have sharp pain and tingals in my upper under arm. Is this normal? Are the nerves just waking?
