Arm Lift + Fluid Q&A

Hi, I had an arm lift revision just on the upper part of my arm 12 days ago. As I was pulling the tape off of the incision to clean it, thick light green fluid started oozing from a small hole in the incision. Is it normal for it to be leaking fluid or is this a sign of infection? Thank you.

I am 7 weeks out of Bracioplasty.. My arms are still tight, tender & fluid retention in inner elbows & also developing keloids. Ive been reading on scar or arm massage. Can you send a video or explain the correct way to do massage without aggrevating the condition. Also is it too early to start massage therapy?

I have internal bumps and swelling. The external stitches are basically healed. However, I have gone in twice now to fluid removed. Is this normal? What causes it? How long will this last? Thanks, Kim

i am 2 weeks post op of an arm lift. About a week ago i realized i had an open wound on both arms and can see a clear stitch coming out of the wounds. Also now there is a green/clear gooey residue coming out of both wounds. Is that normal for the healing process for the wound to close? Should i do anything to help the wound heal better? Also what should i do about the stitch coming out of the wound?

I am 7 days post op and weighing 9 pounds heavier than day of surgery. I haven't changed a thing eating habit wise. I know I am still swollen and retaining some fluid but how long until I return to my normal weight?

I had bracioplasty 7 weeks ago & still have swelling & discomfort in inner elbows. Doctor says its fluid retention & could take up to 6 months for complete healing. Iceing dies not help. Is there anything I can do to speed up the healing?

Hello, I had a brachioplasty almost 4 weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed my arms and hands are starting to puff up a little like a balloon. More so in one arm than the other. I wore a compression bandage for 3 weeks and just switched to Embrace therapy. Is this normal, and if so, what can I do to reduce the swelling? The doctor that performed the surgery is out of state. I had arm lift 5 weeks ago and arms were reduced only 3cm or one inch. After six hours of surgery, I found out only 3 days ago that he did lipo and if caused my arms to swell so he couldn't take more tissue. He thinks I reacted to the infiltration fluid used for lipo. I was never told this after surgery - only three days ago. He offered a revision. Is this a plausible story or is something else wrong.
