I know this question will be frowned upon, especially when a derm sees it lol, but bare with me. I was on Accutane in the past and used to go in the tanning beds twice a week to help prepare myself for our Mexico trip. I never burned and it worked for me. I had to get off Accutane once my benefits ran out but now I am back on. 30mg/day - What is the actual harm in going back in the beds if I never had sun sensitivity anyways?
I have been taking Acnetane 10mg, 1 everyday. Will I be able to do sunbed sessions while on the tablets? I love the sun so always had a great tan. Since I've started the acnetane I've been staying out of the sun and if I know I'm going to be in the sun I use sunscreen 50+
I'm on Accutane for folliculitis on my butt. I'm about to start my 5th month out of 6 and there is little to no improvement. The sun always helps my condition in the summer. I'm really counting on it to help me. My folliculitis gets so bad sometimes that I can't wear shorts, and I play two sports! I'll be done with the Accutane early-mid June. How long should I wait before I tan?
Im on 40 MG of Isotretinoin. I have been on accutane and have tanned since August-now. I went tanning and forgot to put on SPF on my lips and got fever blisters/cold sores. They went away and I went back to tan and put SPF on my lips AND put the UVA/UVB protective winkies that you use on your eyes when you tan but I used them on my lips and now I seem them coming back again! Why? I also accidentally used Chapstick that I used when I had my cold sores, could this have been why they came back?
I'm a male, 70 kgs, and have been taking Accutane for 7 months, 40 mg daily. I would like to know whether I will be able to suntan right after the course, or I should have to wait, and for how long? Also, I've heard that after Accutane treatment, the skin gets thinner so tanning is quicker and deeper. Is this true? Many thanks for your time.
