White pimple on gums with implant

Question

I have a central incisor that has been replaced with am implant. Now it's been functioning fine for 6 months. Last couple of days I have seen a little white pimple appear and pop and disappear on its ownm this happens in the same spot every few weeks maybe a centimeter below the gum line. Is this an infection? There is absolutely no pain whatsoever and the pimple is very small

Dear demosthenes: What you are describing is exactly that...An infection.  There could be several reasons for it.  Please call your dentist site for an appointment as soon as possible.  This will only gets worse, and much more costly if left unattended. Best wished,

The fact that you don't have pain isn't important. I suggest scheduling an appointment with your dentist ASAP. It does sound as if you have an infection in this area or your implant may be failing. Don't wait, get to the dentist.

Most likely that white "pimple" means some cement got under your gum when the crown was placed. It is very important that you see your dentist or the surgeon that placed the implant right away. If left alone it can cause serious problems.
