Thank you for your question. This is not hyperpigmentation. This is residual redness from the laser. This can be treated with topical steroids. I recommend having this evaluated by your treating physician.  

it is unlikely to have hyperpigmentation already.   You probably want to discuss with the physician who treated you or supervised your treatment.  Often times, oral antihistamines and topical steroids will prevent any long term issues. Stay skintastic. 

This is not hyperpigmentation. This is residual redness from the laser. I would treat with topical OTC steroids. Hyperpigmentation occurs about 3 weeks after a laser procedure and is related to a burn or prolonged redness. I'm not saying this can't eventually become hyperpigmentation, but it isn't now. It is more likely to occur in type 4 or higher skin types.
