I am 4 weeks post breast augmentation/breast lift. My doctor informed me my stitches should dissolve around the 3 week mark. All of my steri strips are still around my nipples - is it safe to take off the steri strips? Or should I wait until they fall off on their own? There's not much sign of them falling off on their own any time soon.

It looks like the wound may have some devitalized, nonviable tissue which may be impeding the healing process. Discussed with your surgeon whether or not they might perform curettage, which is a gentle scraping of the wound to stimulate it and remove this roadblock.Best of luck!
